Bbq scary bad! Place empty at lunch on a Friday. Menu has changed alot. No bbq chicken, no collards, potato salad good, bbq should have been thrown away several days ago, limited menu compared to what it used to be. Wings good, mac and cheese not good, okra ok. Overall very bad it seems like they are putting all the efforts in other restaurants or getting ready to close the smokehouse restaurant. I hope it gets better for others in the future!!!

I visited the Aviator Smokehouse for the second time ever today and left pretty disappointed in the experience. It wasn’t busy when we arrived with only one other table having people at it, but it still took over 30 minutes to receive our food after we ordered it (didn’t order anything crazy) and then some of it was wrong. We ordered a BBQ brisket burger and it arrived with no burger patty, no bacon, and nothing on it that should have been there–just a thick slab of cold brisket on a bun. I don’t even see anything that matches what we got on the menu, so not sure where the confusion came from (ordered the burger as was described, no customization). We also ordered nachos and they were missing a few of the components listed. Probably among the most disappointing parts was the grilled cheese sandwich my daughter ordered (pictured), which ended up being two very thick, hard pieces of bread without any toasting or grilling, and unmelted cheese in between. The waitress was nice, but the mistakes, extensive waits (over 30 minutes and then another 20 to get the corrected burger), and food quality just completely underwhelmed us.

Ordered the pulled pork bbq sandwich and loved it! The hush puppies were legit, along with the sweet butter to dip in. All delicious. Especially the burger- it was seasoned perfectly and the veggies were fresh. Jeff was a great bartender & waiter. The cooks know what they’re doing. Homemade root beer was delicious too.

I had an amazing experience at Aviator Smokehouse. The brisket was absolutely phenomenal—tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, with a perfect bark that melted in my mouth. The salad was very good. The atmosphere was warm, the staff were friendly. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving top-notch BBQ! I’ll definitely be back!

Wow! Can honestly say I have never had such a dismal dining experience. There was so much wrong I can’t list it all. Heres a few things; It took 25 minutes to get all the food to the table, so some were completely finished eating before others had received their food. Cobb salad was missing egg, shredded cheese, blue cheese, avocado. Food was cold and pretty awful. One person had to eat with his hands as his silverware never arrived. Had to get up and go and get napkins myself for the table. No tissue paper in the restrooms. Nothing to dry your hands with either. When we asked for paper they said they were out. Literally stunned by how bad this place is. Shocking! Don’t go here. Took a photo of the butter that came with the hush puppies-judge for yourself.

Sadly, the quality of food at this restaurant has seriously declined over the past year. Todat, the pulled pork was full of hard rind, had no flavor and no sauce was offered. It appears they no longer offer the tasty, homemade sides that were once very popular. The slaw was inedible and tasted like sweet sauerkraut. The hushpuppies were over cooked and dry. The potato salad must’ve come from a cheap pre-made tub. I would say that maybe their focus is on the other restaurants they’ve opened around town, but we tried once and found the quality equally bad there. This might explain why there were only a few tables occupied at the lunch hour today. Given that the Aviator is such a prominent fixture in town, I sincerely hope they will do better for F-V patrons.

Absolutely delicious!! Service was excellent, as was the food and portions. We had a party of 4 and got the turkey melt, brisket plate, BBQ pork nachos and boneless wings. Wings were so-so, but everything else was fantastic! We came on a Friday around 12:30 and they were sadly out of meatloaf and hushpuppies. Regardless, very impressed with my first visit and will be back!

We started at the new building and walked here thinking the food would be better and because the other place was pretty focused on one party that took up several tables. At 7:30pm (Tuesday) the Smokehouse was empty; zero patrons. The waitress said we were the first customers since 2:30 and that they would be closing in a few minutes, kind of suggesting ‘get out’, but not rude at all. Anyway, she said they make the meat for the other restaurants and that we could get BBQ across the street so we kept walking. However, when we were seated at the Tap House they told us no BBQ there. So although we did not actually eat at the Smokehouse, the owner of these places needs to be aware of the bad experience at three locations.

Great service Jeff! Food was great. Definitely a crunch on the meat sampler. We all enjoyed our entrees. Potato salad is great. Mac has s awesome. The Smoke House is the bomb!!
