I had a blast at the Aviator Bar! The atmosphere is incredible, with WWII Army & flight decor everywhere. It’s like stepping back in time. The drinks are top-notch, and the service is friendly and attentive. It’s a great place to meet up with friends or go on a date. The only downside is that it can get pretty busy, especially on weekends.
Some of the things I loved about the Aviator Bar:
* The military decor is amazing. It’s everywhere, from the walls to the tables to the bar itself.
* The drinks are delicious. They have a wide variety of cocktails, beers, and wines to choose from.
* The service is great. The bartenders are friendly and attentive, and they know how to make a good cocktail.
* The atmosphere is fun. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy a drink with friends.
Overall, I highly recommend the Aviator Bar. It’s a great place to have a good time and experience a bit of military history.

The Aviator Bar is an awesome bar. It is as much an aviation museum as it is a bar. As you enter, you are in the actual bar section, but as you continue to walk the building, you find many cove-like areas that are sectioned off like little rooms that are social areas with chairs, couches and coffee tables. The areas are stuffed full of aviation books, manuals, pictures, and a mega amount of memorabilia. The building is adorned with a huge collection of various models of all types of aircraft. It is an amazing collection of art and memorabilia. The bar is hosted by friendly and easy on the eye, quality bartendresses. Service is quick and professional. Food is not served here. They have a wide variety of libations to quench your thirst. The night we visited was karaoke night with a good crowd, but not an overwhelming amount of people. This place is fun, educational, and interesting. If you are an aviator or just love aviation, it is the place to visit. A good time was had by all!

Where do I start, me and 2 of my colleagues are in Alabama from Canada to work for 2 weeks and decided we wanted to try out Aviator because it looked like it had a cool decor of old war memorabilia , when we arrived K.C greeted us with a smile and great conversation, treated us like royalty and took good care of us, we even got him to punch the punching bag game in the back with us. Gave us some tips about where is good to eat and we couldn’t have had a better time because of him.
Thanks K.C
You are the best!

The bartenders are welcoming and fun, the drinks are standard, but the decor is amazing. Definitely worth a visit anytime you’re in Montgomery.

To the little girl “working” the bar on 9/15/25- you need to learn customer service 101. We came in. There was ONE person at the we bar. We were immediately ignored because some guy brought in pizza. Then a couple came in and sat at the end of the bar where she proceeded to serve them first then chit chatted THEN ignored us again for someone else’s order. We waited so long we just left. Completely rude and pathetic “service”. I’ve never had to leave a bar where I couldn’t get service with literally 3 people at the bar.

Found three different hours of operation on numerous websites. 11am-2am, 12pm-2am and 5pm-2am. WTH is correct. Very unprofessional. No hours posted on the doors. A neighbor business that was open looked up the hours and told me it was 11am-2am. WTH?

Really cool spot to check out. Friendly bartenders and a ton of military decor everywhere and zaps (IYKYK) on the walls, so make sure to bring yours to add.

Aviator Bar was a nice place to sit at the bar on a Friday night and chat with the locals. Its location is proximate to many downtown hotels. It attracts an eclectic crowd and broad age range. The bartender was very professional, personable, and attentive, and patrons seemed pleased with the drinks she made; I was drinking beer. Many patrons were drinking cocktails and taking shots; most drinks were served in plastic cups, which is a troubling lower class indicator, despite the bar’s downtown location and polished exterior presentation. The decor is primarily WWII era aviation, including countless airplane models hanging from the ceiling, but the theme does get a bit muddled, as some displayed models appear to be contemporary Boeing jets. They had sports playing on the televisions around the bar, but the ones directly over the bar were placed much too high to be viewed comfortably by those seated at the bar. Drink prices are quite inexpensive, but they inexplicably charge a nominal cover ($5), which I assume is there solely to anger the patrons before they’ve even had their first drink. My wish for the people of Montgomery is that they discontinue tolerating cover charges for bars with nothing going on, but if they do continue to tolerate inexcusable cover charges in this market, you could do much worse than Aviator Bar.
