When I first walked in, the decor made me think it was one of those higher-end Hong Kong cafés, so I honestly didn’t expect much from the food. The menu had a lot of options, which usually makes me cautious.
I ordered the spicy flat rice noodle with beef and a spicy soup noodle, along with a few other items. Everything was surprisingly good. The noodles were flavorful but not oily or overly salty, and every dish was well balanced.
The prices are reasonable, and the free milk tea and coffee are a nice bonus.
After that first visit, I’ve been coming back almost every weekend. Definitely a hidden gem in Richmond.

I had a great experience at Avery! I ordered the chicken wings with fries and the soy sauce chicken wings vermicelli soup — both were delicious.
The chicken wings were crispy, well-seasoned, and very juicy. The soy sauce chicken wings vermicelli soup was flavourful and comforting, with tender wings and a rich broth. Highly recommend to chicken wings lovers like me.
The service was friendly and the food came quickly. The environment was comfortable and clean.
Overall, a very satisfying meal and we definitely come back again!

Avery Cafe Richmond is a pretty restaurant located in Richmond serving up HK style cafe items. Getting here is a bit of a chore since the gas will send you in a big round about way to get through a cul-de-sac to get to the parking lot. The easiest thing is to drive through the car wash parking lot on Garden City before Alderbridge.
When we came for breakfast, we had the Chicken Steak combo ($13.95) with half
French Toast (+$1.75) and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and a Cold Lemon Tea (+$1.5). We also had the Satay Beef ($12.95) with knife cut noodles (+$1). Overall, food was good and we’ll come back to check their lunch/dinner items.
Note that you have to pay for parking after 6pm and they take credit with a fee or debit without a fee.

Been to this cute place just last week and I had a great time here! The food was good and the service was great! I love how the staff is so friendly and welcoming! Love the atmosphere and the Christmas decorations! Would love to come visit again and do recommended for all friends to come too!!

Ordered 4 entrees where 3 were from the all day special menu. All came with a drink but $1.50 extra for medium cold drink or $2 extra for a large size cold drink. The food portions are good size and the food taste good. Overall service was just standard so i only gave 3 stars. I would return to try their breakfast special which is only available to 3pm not all day as advertised.

On October 17, I went to this restaurant for dinner with my son. Really enjoyed the restaurant renovation but the food and surface are very disappointing. The plate that I got have food that are burnt even taste kind of stale. Try to talk to the server and the kitchen about the quality. I can hear the chef yelling at the server after they told the kitchen my thought about the food. When I order it seems like the server don’t know what he’s doing and they have a problem understanding English because they ask me how I like my steak Cook I said, medium rare. Then they come back and tell me they cannot do that.??? when the food is on my table, they don’t give me cutlery or plate at all. when I pay my bill, I realize there is open food fee about my hot chocolate that come with my meal. I asked the server where in the menu as extra fee and when I ordered that they didn’t tell me I have to pay extra. The server went to the till give me back the money and scream at me tell me to leave the restaurant. I never get this kind of treatment in my life very embarrassing, but as a customer, I think I have the right to ask what am I paying for?

We had a wonderful dining experience here! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it perfect for a relaxing meal. Every dish we tried was well-prepared and flavorful, but the highlight was definitely the German pork knuckle – crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, absolutely delicious!
