I was greeted immediately as I opened the door.
The staff here are so polite and they are very familiar with the menu and I was so excited to try the entrees.

I ordered the seafood combo with flounder and jumbo shrimp and have a side of yams and okra.

So amazing how every bite was flavorful and intense with seasoning that lingered well after I could take another bite.

Totally awesome experience I will rate them a 10 out of 10 but Google only lets you rate one to five.

Keep it up you! Y’all are Awesome Cooks that know how to cook home style food to make people want to keep coming back!

AUNTIEEEEEEE!!!!!!! All we want to know is can we come to the next thanksgiving? We’ve ate at so many soul food places around Charlotte and this is hands down THEEEE BEST one the experience from start to finish these beautiful ladies were sweet, patient, and funny the food was that old school from the actual soul meal and everyone can’t make a good Mac and cheese but they got that recipe DOWNNN we went to sit in the car until the food was done and they literally brought the food to us 10/10 I’ve found my soul food home

I am from Alabama. This is the best soul food that I have had since we have lived in the Charlotte area. The baked chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned like my grandmother’s. The cabbage tasted like my mom’s no extra seasoning needed. The potato salad was like my aunt’s, it had great flavor. I was so impressed. Not only was the food exceptional, the food was affordable and the customer service was amazing. Edith and the staff made you feel like family. I will support this restaurant and send them customers.

Excellent food. Good seasoning and very enjoyable. I got a plain cheese burger with seasoned fries combo and my friends got wing combos, one bbq with green beans and the other got buffalo style. Great food all around.

I hate that we wasted money. We were looking to have some good soul food. The lady at register was very kind. The food wasn’t good. In fact, we had molded bread, burned and dry Mac-n-cheese, soggy fried chicken. I hate to say… I’d never return but kindly ask Avenue’s to do better! The customers deserve to have good food.

Went for the first time last Sunday. I got the wing dinner with Mac n cheese and Collards. The food was fresh and hot and very good. I got the pound cake and it was very good and they give you 2 slices. I will definitely be going back soon.

After years of driving past this place, a long-lost friend finally convinced me to stop in—and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and baked macaroni, and both were absolutely delicious. There’s a great variety of food to choose from, and the prices are super reasonable. I definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Today on the recommendation of a family friend I went had what has to be the worst “Southern Cooking” in the state of North Carolina. The fish was hard and rubbery. The Wedges were unseasoned. The macaroni and cheese was bland hard and lumpy. Every single thing that touched the frier was hard and dry. These people are crazy charging $13+ for garbage that even the mayflower can beat…

Oh man! Our first visit. Wanted something good to eat. This place had best reviews. I was great. Went during slow hours and people still lined up and waiting on food. Photos included. Corn bread nicely sweet addition to pintos. Fried pork chops I love. Greens and cabbage perfect. Okra and Mac & cheese finished off everything nicely. We’re from Albemarle, but will be back.
