Very disappointing experience. Customer service was extremely poor from start to finish. Our server made multiple mistakes with our order, and on top of that we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food, even though the restaurant was not busy.
To make things worse, we were overcharged for a piece of fish (trucha). The price was not clearly listed, and on the receipt it was entered as a “custom amount.” We were charged almost $40 for the trout. When we went back to complain, they couldn’t show the correct price on the menu. I later searched online and found the trout listed for $16.99, which is a huge difference.
We were never told the price would be higher or that it was a custom or market-price item. Charging customers nearly double without warning, combined with poor service and long wait times, is unacceptable. This place seriously needs to improve transparency and customer service.

This is probably one of the best places to indulge yourself. Their breaded chicken dinner is one of the finest dishes I had in a very long time.
It’s in the 5800 block of West Diversey avenue but when your heading east, slow down because you might pass it up. It doesn’t make a large appearance on the street so drive slow. Park near the corner of Diversey and Menard. It’s in the south side of the street.
This is a place worth going out of your way to eat at. The owner is actually the cook. It’s the old fashioned way businesses were run. She is a real gem of a person. Enjoy your meal.

Fist time tasting their food. Good potions and tasting fresh and very traditional flavors. Service was lacking and sometimes you have to rase your hand to call their attention. No water service. Will come back to keep tasting their menu.

Trying something new with so many Latin flavors ie Colombian, Peruvian, Brazilian, etc. This was my first time here. Atmosphere is pleasant, service slow even when the place is empty, clean tables, and floors. We ordered appetizer of sweet plantains and cheese (Plátanos asados con queso). I have had this before but the cheese was just sliced cold cheese on top of hot slim (not fat round) plantains. Nice size menu choices, kids menu and authentic cuisine. Food was tasty, but you could tell it was microwaved. Some areas of the food were hot while others cold. The plates came out super hot, could not touch (even server said to be careful). Ample free street parking, plenty of tables, clean restrooms. Still not sure why you have white rice and french fries on the same plate, but it could be traditional eats. May go back.

Worth the trek from the other side of the city! Everything was delicious, even the coffee was exceptional. Highly recommend

This was authentic Ecuadorian food (as authentic as you can get in the states). The plates were quite generous and the juices large. They don’t use sugar in the juices so just a heads up. The service is friendly but there was only one server so it was a little slow. But totally worth it.

The food was mid and the service very bad. Took them almost an hour for us to get our food. 20 mins for an appetizer. And the food was so so. I’ve had better.
