Avanti’s is a cute spot for the locals in East Peoria that’s been around for a really long time! My boyfriend and I the Bruschetta for an appetizer and it was probably one of the best I’ve had. It’s so good! We also got two sandwiches, The Famous Gondola and The Bristol, both toasted. They are known for their Gondola sandwiches so I’d definitely recommend that one if you’re trying to figure out what to choose. Otherwise they have lots of options from sandwiches, pastas, and salads. Our service was really nice and helpful. Also parking is super easy with a huge attached free parking lot.

I went to pick up my Avanti’s. I can’t visit Peoria and not go there. I was picking up a the most delicious toasted Gondola and a loaf of there Famous Bread. I was so happy comfort food, the feeling of home! The other pick up next to me had drove down from Chicago!!.Avanti’s True Italian food! Thank you guys!! HAPPY 60th Anniversary!! ♥️

Nice local joint. The server was excellent, sadly I can’t recall her name. I had the specialty, a deluxe gondola sandwich. It was good, but I don’t see what all the fuss is about. I got mine toasted which in my opinion made it better. The toasted raviolis were very good as was the marinara sauce that came with.

Went there the other day for the first time with a large group of 12 people and they accommodated us so well and took care of us! The food was great and definitely recommend the bread and the cheese soup!!! I was very thankful for the great customer service and how they went above and beyond to take care of a large group. It can be hard sometimes.

Food was good and seemed fresh. No issues and have always enjoyed the Avanti’s style of food.
Carry out area was clean and a menu is clearly posted for easy viewing.

As a native Peorian, I grew up eating the famous Avanti’s gondolas. They haven’t changed one bit to me over the years, still delicious as ever. The subtly sweet, fresh baked bread carries their signature!

Was driving through on business and told it was a must stop for a sandwich. You wouldn’t think a sandwich would make your day, but I was happier than a pig in…mud! If im back this way again, it’ll be a no brainer for a meal.

My mom and I ate here Saturday evening. Our waitress was a little unprofessional, but she was nice. I believe her name was Tonya. She took our order and brought our drinks out and then our food. Then we never saw her again. We had to flag down another server to get refills. She only showed up at the end to give us the bill. We did see she had a larger table in the back, but she had many opportunities to check on us. At one point she walked past us, and we couldn’t get her attention. We also tried to get the hosts attention, and she ignored us.

When we went up to pay the bill, the younger blonde hostess asked us how everything was. We were honest and told her it was disappointing that our server never checked on us. She was very flippant and rude. She said, “yeah well she had a bigger party and that can be difficult.” I was a server and bartender for many years. I worked in a much bigger and busier restaurant. Sure, you get stuck in the weeds, but that’s no excuse to never check on your table. They weren’t that busy and it’s a pretty small restaurant.

It was very rude of the hostess to ask us how everything was, and then rudely have an excuse to try and invalidate our experience. Why even ask? This was a disappointing experience, and we’ve always loved Avanti’s. We decided we won’t come back after this.

Ordered takeout and the spaghetti dinner was as expected. The dinner included a side salad and bread and was very reasonably priced.

Carry out order. Took bread and Gondolas back to Michigan for family. They wrapped the bread in plastic wrap before putting in the paper packaging to keep the food fresh for the trip home.
