Right on the water at the Avalon–Stone Harbor border, this is the kind of place you want waiting for you after a long morning or afternoon at the beach. Shake the sand out of your shoes, grab a table, and settle in for a pint and a solid meal.
Avalon Brew Pub is larger than many shore breweries, with a big dining room and a spacious bar area that can handle the summer crowds. The atmosphere lands somewhere between traditional brewpub and coastal restaurant — family-friendly and a bit more polished than the average brewery stop.
And if you happen to visit during the holidays, the Christmas décor is legendary, turning the whole place into a festive waterfront hangout.
Good spot for families and groups of friends looking for a post-beach meal and a pint. It’s a great “everyone can agree on this place” stop — good food, good beer, and enough space that you’re not fighting for seats (at least out of season!)

We recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic lunch spot just off the beach. Over the years, we’ve dined here many times for breakfast and lunch.This place never disappoints and is perfect for those looking for a quick and easy meal without sacrificing quality. From the moment we arrived, Sue, our server, ensured we didn’t have to wait. Her helpful and talkative nature made us feel right at home, and she genuinely wanted our experience to be wonderful.
We indulged in a fish grouper sandwich that was nothing short of amazing, paired with some of the best french fries on the island. The highlight of our meal was the salad, which featured candied walnuts and blackberries with a delightful fruit vinaigrette dressing. It was an incredible combination of flavors that left us thoroughly impressed.
If you’re looking for a lunch place that offers excellent food and top-notch service, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Thanks to Sue and the rest of the team for making our dining experience so enjoyable!

We are big brewery fans so of course we had to add Avalon Brew Pub to our list of places to visit. We enjoyed the beers they have brewed and liked that they offered a full bar menu as well. But the food… Oh my gosh!!!!!! The brisket fries we had are literally what dreams are made of! Absolutely amazing! We also has a pizza (not pictured) and that was so good as well. Our server was nice and did a great job. Also really loved the vibe of the location. When we went it was still the off season so it wasn’t super busy which was nice. I’m sure they are packed now that it is summer! I look forward to going back and trying more from their menu!!

We enjoyed everything about this place. We wish the weather would have been nicer so we could hang outside, but everything was comfortable inside. Super nice waiter. Everything was well kept and clean and updated. We had the pepperoni pizza and it had delicious flavor and a great crust! We wished we had just ordered one for my husband and myself. It is marketed as a 9” personal pizza, but there were 6 pieces and we had way too much! Not over or undercooked. The drinks were fun and delicious.

Overall a nice place. I did not try the beer. I’m not a beer person and the rating one the beer are not the best. Best everything including the service was great. Chicken was good and big. I liked the fries. The turkey Ruben was okay. I’d probably change it up from that next time. Will definitely come back.

Their wings were good. So we’re the fish tacos and the brownie sundae . Though the pasta on the kids menu was a little dry. I also ordered a drink and they charged two more dollars for rocks.

Food was great, just like last year. Couple of servers didn’t seem too happy, though. Our server was very friendly, but by his own admission, not the brightest. We had to practically beg to have our table cleaned before dessert came.
Speaking of, $15 for a slice of cake is a problem. The desserts were good but way over priced, $12 to $15 if memory serves. I had better cake at a diner for $4.50 two weeks later. I’m not expecting prices that low at a restaurant, granted, but cap it at 8 or 9 bucks like most places.
I should stress that the restaurant itself is really nice and the burgers and salads were excellent.

Good service, good atmosphere and the food was fine. However, we were there three times and at every meal especially the prime rib dinner…..the food was served on ice cold plates. This kind of wrecked it as It didn’t stand a chance of staying warm.

Excellent fish tacos, served at lunch and dinner. The menu is subtle that it’s also available at lunch. Crab cake sandwich is thick and well complimented with Old Bay fries. Outdoor seating is pleasant. I didn’t get to try the beers, but I didn’t need it to know that this is a great Avalon eatery.

Our first time here after hearing good things about this place. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. The disco fries are awesome and the Beers are solid. Excellent and friendly servers all around. Nice atmosphere. Great place to visit at the shore.
