I’ve been to the Placentia location as a teen. Food is always good, no complaints there! After this location opened, I had hoped that they’d updated their interior style. It just feels outdated. I can describe it like being in an 80s or 90s restaurant. Not my preference, but I still enjoy my breakfast and friendly service here 🙂

We were visiting here from Michigan for a families wedding and I asked them what is your favorite place to go for some breakfast sandwiches, bagels and coffee? So our first morning we came here to try it. They had a great selection of bagels and menu options(it was very hard for all of us to decide). The service and food was excellent. Everyone loved what they ordered. I had a jalapeño cheddar bagel with a ham and cheese omelet and avocado spread on it. I would say the best breakfast sandwich I have had anywhere. When we were ready to leave, I complimented them on the food and service and they gave me a completed punch card to come back before we left and try one of their fruit smoothies, so we will be going back on our last morning before leaving to return home. I would highly recommend this place!

A lovely breakfast spot!! they handmade their bagels with lots of flavors to choose from. Their Breakfast Special is an amazing deal! So filling! The fries are crispy and flavored and bagel is delicious! would highly recommend.
We also got the Lox and cream cheese w/ red onions and tomatoes. Also a new favorite! Red onions paired so nicely and helped cut through the lox taste. They even unexpectedly came with candied fruit and bagel chips! Absolutely in love with this place.

First time here after a 10 mile run with my husband and Pastor friend. I ordered a Watermelon Wonder smoothie and a plain toastED bagel with cream cheese. Simple but very delicious. There was a large selection of bagels to choose from and another menu on top of that. The spread was generous, and the bagel was huge! The smoothie hit the spot and was delicious. We’re definitely coming back. There’s indoor and outdoor seating.

I don’t know what hurts more, to pay $60 for 3 bagels, 1 sandwich and a smoothie or to rewrite this review of a place that until today was considered my favorite bagel shop. I had to update my review because I have to stay honest. Is this what Avalon has become, more and more expensive and less quality and service? I’ve had to go back before for forgotten items but I think this did it for me. Just look at the picture, who thought it was ok to serve this to a person that just spent $60 at a bagel shop. I remember when I would get excited to go to Avalon, now I just hope they get everything right.

This was the first time to this location from a suggestion since I love bagels. The food was okay, it didn’t taste that fresh but it was edible. The employee Mary was very serious and would not accommodate a simple request of putting cream cheese on a bagel breakfast sandwich which was odd because most other places would do that no problem. Customer service goes a long way, so does a smile. They delivered to our table fast but with the wrong bagel i wanted and we confirmed just before paying. I didn’t complain because I didn’t want to wait for them to create a new one, the bacon was burnt! Not even slightly overcooked but just burnt bacon which is surprising since it looked like it came from a package just like the eggs. I did request a side of cream cheese to put on myself since they would not add it to the bagel breakfast sandwich which took two seconds. The eggs tasted a little rubbery, they were not fresh and seems to be defrosted, warmed up and served under the burnt bacon. The power/energy bagel bar was good with simple strawberry cream cheese though, glad I ordered that since this breakfast sandwich was a fail.
