My husband and I shared a Island BBQ Bowl because we wanted to try more than one spot and my only regret is that we shared it. You don’t need to go anywhere else, this place is incredible.
The combination of flavors in the bowl was fantastic. I’d say I’d love to come back and try another bowl, but I’d have a hard time not ordering the same one again.

I really enjoyed my Ahi Poke Bowl! It had the perfect amount of spice with fresh veggies and Tuna. My boyfriend got the Teriyaki Bowl and he really liked the flavors but said the chicken was a bit overdone. The servings sizes are fair and you could probably share a bowl with someone if you’re not starving!

I absolutely loved my fresh and flavorful Ahi Poke Bowl, and my wife’s Thai Chili Tofu Bowl was equally impressive and delicious. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. We visited Durango Colorado for our one year wedding anniversary and wanted a light dinner option and came across Avalanche Bowl Company while walking downtown.
First off, the area is so cool! There are tons of food truck options, the outdoor atmosphere/ seating is fun, had multiple different areas to sit and they had live music.
We ordered the Ahi Tuna Poke bowl and we LOVED it – The Ahi fish was fresh and cut perfectly to mix the other components of the dish. The other components included: edamame, stringed carrots,sushi rice, seaweed salad and diced mango.
This Ahi Tuna dish was a perfect fresh and light dinner!
I highly recommend this area and this food truck!

I tipped 25% for a $20 poke bowl and I couldn’t even get a napkin. There was tall stack of napkins within view and the girl working the window told me they were only for Door Dash orders. Poke was meh and had very little tuna. I’ve had much much better at chain places .

I’m surprised by the poor reviews of this place – I loved my Thai Chili tofu veggie bowl. It was perfect for a cold and snowy day and way more food than I could eat in one meal, so it was lunch and dinner! Lots of rice, and also lots of flavorful tofu and edamame. The other veggies (peppers, carrots, maybe some squash?) were diced super small but added great texture and flavor. I literally took a pic because I liked the blend of flavors enough that I might try making something similar at home. Service was fast and they were friendly about letting my dog come with me into the indoor dining area on-site. I enjoyed my random stop at Avalanche Bowl!
