Wife spotted this little food truck(?) online. So we decided to give it a try for lunch, after roaming around Omaha and Pointe du hoc, we decided to go for round two.
Round 1 – La Saucisse (sausage) and a Salted Caramel; a bottle apple cider beer (you can buy the larger bottles at their brewery not far)
The sausage was very delicious, with a balance amount of fat to meat, it was served with sautéed onions and we opted for the mustard. But whether it is mustard or ketchup, the acidity balances the richness of the sausage well.
The apple cider beer from fermented de la Sapinière was a Demi-sec; fruity with almost a kombucha like profile.
Round 2 – La Cambette (pork ham) and the chocolat maison
The pork ham was accompanied by local cheese and raw cream. It was saltish (in a good way) and creamy from the diary.
Never have I had such a fantastic ham and cheese pancake, yummi!
Oh yeah, and one with local raspberry jam for dessert – also best one!
Unbeatable prices. For 6.5€ you get a lunch made from scratch with local products.
Good service, great taste.
Keep up the good work
