As a born-and-raised Texan, I walked into this place with high hopes and an empty stomach, lured by the promise of “good food” using words like Texas barbecue. What I got instead was a masterclass in culinary disappointment.
Let’s start with the meat — the supposed star of any Texas BBQ joint. It was, quite frankly, an insult. The brisket tasted like it had been boiled, not smoked. No bark, no smoke ring, no flavor. Even after drowning it in salt and slathering it with their overly sweet BBQ sauce, it still tasted like sadness and missed opportunity. I’ve had gas station jerky with more soul. It’s as if someone Googled “Texas BBQ” and then promptly ignored every result.
Now, I will give credit where it’s due: the cheese curds were crispy, gooey perfection, and the nachos were surprisingly solid — loaded, crunchy, and actually seasoned. But if the best thing at your “Texas” restaurant is the nachos, you’ve got a branding problem.
Bottom line: if you’re from Texas or even just know what real BBQ should taste like, steer clear. This place is all hat and no cattle.

Amazing family owned and operated place We’ve never had anything there that average everything on the menu is delicious and flavorful. The menu covers a wide range of cuisine. They have a wonderful staff that treats you like family. Comfortable and clean. I’ve sent many friends here and our out of town guests and family always want to go back when they’re here visiting. You’ll have a memorable enjoyable experience at Austin’s.

Wonderful dining experiences. We were seated immediately and greeted right away. Sabrina was excellent giving suggestions. Service was awesome! Our table ordered skirt steak, sirloin and cod. All were cooked perfectly and all were delicious. We had an amazing time and will certainly visit again.

We came for dinner over the holidays. Had a little bit bigger group but they did not have any issues seating us.(We did make a reservation about 1hour before). They also accommodated us concerning where to sit as we had a couple seniors that struggle with walking distances.
The food was good and the right temps. It has changed a little since I was last there. Seems a little more casual than it was a number of years ago. That was fine with me. Food prices were not crazy over the top either considering today’s economy. We all had a nice time. They have a nice patio seating area with a fireplace that looked fun for another time.

My friend and I decided to have lunch out on the patio area. This was my first time but my friend had ate here several times before our lunch. The menu is amazing! So many options it was hard to make a choice. We decided to order two meals and share them. We had the black and blue burger with onion rings and the chicken tacos. Wow! We had so much food that we were able to take a whole meal home for my friend’s daughter. Everything was cooked correctly medium well for our burger and the food was very tasty. I did notice the other meals coming to the other tables and everything looked really good. We were so full we passed on dessert but the dessert menu had many options to choose from. The restaurant itself was very nice and had different areas to sit. There was a bar area with TVs, a dining room for indoor family sitting, outside sitting and they also have a large back room for events.The service for me was just okay nothing to note positive or negative but our waitress did seem busy and not as attentive as I would have liked. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to go back when I’m in the area.

The parking lot is pretty big, I made 3 circles waiting for an empty spot. It’s good for family dinner or the company of friends. Inside cozy and beautiful decorated. The service was fast, and the dishes were delicious. No kids’ menu. The hamburger was served disassembled, which is not very convenient, especially when you had no plans to be a chef that evening. It would not be bad to choose such an option on your own.

Tony is our server and has been fabulous. It’s been very very busy today lots of kids. He was cool as a cucumber, attentive, prompt and took care of us perfectly.- we will be back here and we will hope Tony can be our server because he took such great care and believe me he was busy!
