We had a wonderful birthday celebration in honor of the matriarch of our family!! We had a reservation for 22 and our server was on top of everything!
Lovely ambiance it was our first time there and we were not disappointed.

The best cheese crisp around made the original way, extra crispy. We had the shrimp in the pineapple that was amazing, the flavors of the sweetness with a little zing left you wanting another bite.

Next time around we will enjoy dining outdoors on the lovely patio.
Enjoyed every minute of it! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience with our family!

We sat outside, the area is fully shaded with trees amd shrubs. Service was excellent and the food was even better! The mini chimis are perfection!

I’ve always loved this long standing charming Mexican restaurant. I got 5 tacos for $15! Taco Bell charges more and not nearly as authentic! Lol! A must try!

9/2/25 – It was taco Tuesday, so we decided to go to Aunt Chilada’s. because we have heard a lot of good things about this place from the Media. Their taco Tuesday special was 2 street tacos for $6.00 which had to be ordered and eaten in the bar area. The lighting in the bar area was not good! If you should go to this restaurant’s bar area, make sure that you find a wall light to sit next to so that you can see what you are eating. There are quite a few tables and chairs in there, but only maybe 3 wall lights. The restaurant itself was old but charming. They have a lot of tables to eat at. There were a lot of step ups and step downs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the special street tacos, which were a little chewy. My husband had the green chili burro combination plate. The green chili was very good. The chips (fried flour tortillas) and salsa was pretty good, but I prefer fried corn tortillas. The outside of this place was real nice with all of the green vegetation.

Friday night was a little busy, it looked like there was a wedding party. 45 minute wait to be seated. Server was pleasant and friendly. Order took a while, but again the restaurant was busy.

Chips were super good. Food served hot and fresh. Portion sizes were very generous.

Aunt Chilada’s truly has gone above and beyond in every single way possible (and ways I didn’t think possible) for my wedding. Everything went off perfectly and I can’t think of a more perfect day.

They were so communicative, so hospitable and so great throughout the year-long process. Their preparedness was incredible to see and I love that each member who worked on the project truly felt like they cared about the final product.

The staff were so kind and helpful when I got to see them and I appreciate every single one of them for making my day special. Michele and Makenna were truly so fantastic and I cannot rave about them enough. Every single guest loved the night and I did too. Thank you for your perfect service.

As lovers of Mexican cuisine, we naturally ventured out to Aunt Chiladas during our stay at the Hilton at the Peak. The walk was beautiful, and didn’t take longer than about 5-7 minutes. Very doable, even in the 80 degree weather!

Boy was the walk worth it!

The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous both inside and outside! Beautiful, vibrant, and colorful flowers adorn the outside of the restaurant, and the brilliant color schemes continue inside the restaurant as well! The decor is fun and whimsical, which is a treat for the eyes before you are seated for your meal!

The food itself…delicious! We began our meal with the flor tortilla chips and salsa, as well as the carne asada fries. These were so good, that they could have been a main entree in and of themselves, and you wouldn’t be disappointed! For a main dish, I had the Jalapeño ranch chicken salad, which was divine. So hard to stop eating, even after I was full from our starter fries, chips and salsa. My husband had the Caesar Salad, which uniquely added salsa to the recipe. Something we have definitely decided to make a habit of once we return home! My kids also loved their taquitos and quesadillas! My Mai Tai was also delicious and, had my kids not been with me, I probably would’ve had many more! lol! The food was plated just as beautifully as it was tasty, and I tip my cap off to the chef’s for their attention to details.

The service was also spectacular! My family was so impressed with how attentive our server was. She was consistent with refills and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire meal!

Bottom line, if you have not yet visited Aunt Chiladas, you are missing out! Go make this happen for yourself. You won’t regret it!

If you are staying in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out. The restaurant is an ideal place for both large groups and an intimate date night. They have very spacious outdoor seating, a section of which has live music some nights. Equally spacious is their cavernous indoor seating area with indoor fountains.

Our waitress so fantastic and was able to easily customize any requested menu item. They also had a treasure chest at the hostess stand for well-behaving children to get prizes at the end.

The food was delicious and standard Mexican fair that you can expect from any reputable Mexican restaurant.

This place has excellent service, friendly and professional staff, great food, nice music, and perfect for a group or celebration.

The chicken and fish fajitas were amazing! Can’t wait to order it again the next time I’m in Phoenix.

The chips were very different from what I’m used to.
Maybe this is the more authentic way…. delicious!!

Some friends and I came here for brunch after hiking nearby and had such a great time. The patio is beautiful with colorful umbrellas providing shade over the tables and colorful flowers everywhere. The food was all delicious with giant portions and both the hostess and our server were very friendly and helpful. It also wasn’t overcrowded as a lot of brunch places can get which was a pleasant surprise. This will definitely be a go to for brunch from now on!
