My goodness this was comforting. The greens and yams, makes you want to lick your plate. A real home cooked meal, in a restaurant. I love the vibe and memorabilia. The chef comes out and greet the customers. The food was excellent and I loved the real southern touch of the homemade pepper sauce . DO not hesitate to visit here if you are visiting Tupelo.

Cute little place. Kinda off the path, not real easy to find. We were passing through town and decided to have lunch. Unfortunately it was only a hour until they closed so most everything was sold out including the banana pudding. My husband and I both ordered the smothered pork chops. There was only one left so I waited for them to fry me one and bring it to me. It was okay, just not tender like a slow cooked smothered pork chop should be. Most everything we got was cold. The staff was so nice and friendly though and very helpful. We just showed up too late I think. I would go back again earlier in the day if we lived near by.

Everything was a 10 out of 10! Catfish was perfect, crispy and juicy. The greens were delicious as well as the Mac and cheese. Above all, the customer service is out of this world. The nice man sat down and talked to us for a while and was genuinely curious about us and our life story as well as shared his family history and the restaurant. Must stop by if in the Tupelo area!

We stopped in while we were on vacation and it was the best decision. The purple hull peas were the best I have ever had and I have a lot. The staff so so warm and inviting felt like we’re were regulars there. The catfish was cooked perfectly and the okra was delicious. I might have to make the almost 6 hr drive just to eat there again. Thank you for a wonderful evening and some full bellies

There are times when I travel that I love to eat at local cuisine. I stopped in to see what this local restaurant from when we pulled in to when we ordered and sat down to eat! The atmosphere was friendly and loving! The food was delicious and did NOT disappoint! The southern hospitality and genuine love that is put into all aspects of the restaurant didn’t go unnoticed! One of my most favorite experiences and I left full and happy! Some of the most precious memories and experiences are unexpected- I would recommend going sitting down and enjoying this pleasant and loving environment and the delicious love made foods!

I got lunch there today. The neck bones were so good. Cream potatoes and gravy. Cabbage was perfect. As was the cornbread.
It wasn’t cheap but I got great food.
If you’re in the area go there for a great meal. I didn’t take pictures but I ate it.
