I would gave my first review to August 8!!! The experience went so well! ! Highly recommended!!!
First time at August 8 Hamilton and it was better than I expected. There are tons of sushi options and the quality felt very consistent. The salmon in particular taste fresh. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, when you walk in there is a nice smells, I wonder what kind of diffuser they was using
The service is really good especially the female server was extremely patience since it was my first visit and I didn’t know how everything work. She expanded how to order an even shows me how to eat the hot pot properly, which gave me a total new experience. She also check in on us often and the food come out quickly.
Highly recommended. I will definitely be coming back.

Parking lot is a joke! But the staff were very attentive, food was super hot and fresh! Will definitely return to this restaurant! Loved it @ maybe next time we try the “hot pot”

For the most part I absolutely loved it here, service was perfect and the food was good. I do not recommend the “house deep fried roll” my brother ordered without reading the description, and we could not stomach it. Deep fried sushi roll filled with cheese, corn, and crab salad… some might like it but we could not stomach the mouthful of warm cheese wiz mixed with interesting textures. Not my cup of tea. Enjoyed everything else tho

Wonderful august 8 location!! HUGE cuts of sashimi and definitely worth the money. We never felt like we were rushed to finish the meal, and soda/water refills were always offered to us. Best part of this location is probably the foods taste and portion sizes!

If you are hard of hearing or deaf in one ear request to be seated away from their hot pot fridge. Your experience will be ruined otherwise as you will not be able to hear anything else. Don’t get the Vietnamese coffee. Mine was lumpy and full of powder. The food we pretty good though. Also they ask about allergies which is nice. But they said they had nothing with peaches but actually did have something with peaches in it. The bathroom was repulsive too brown liquid on one toilet seat and clear liquid on another….

This is the best august 8 location. Been going for over 12 years! They now have a new hotpot addition to their menu! We tried it out and it was amazing! The quality of ingredients was impressive and rivals other hot pot locations! They also had amazing Halloween decorations/costumes which made the atmosphere very fitting for the time we went! We had Randy as our server who was provided exceptional service! Would go again just for his service!

This buffet restaurant boasts an impressive and diverse selection of food. Each dish is meticulously prepared, incredibly flavorful, and leaves a lasting impression. Food was fresh, well-prepared, and exactly what you expect from a proper sushi spot. Service was efficient and professional. The environment was clean and comfortable.
I almost didn’t come because of a recent one-star review, but after reading that reviewer’s history, a pattern became very obvious — every place seems to be “extremely disappointing.” At some point, it stops being about the businesses and starts being about the reviewer.
Turning something as minor as nail length into a dramatic hygiene crisis feels less like a genuine concern and more like a hobby.
If someone consistently finds disaster everywhere they go, perhaps the common denominator isn’t the restaurants.
Would absolutely return.
