Parking lot can accommodate more vehicles. Entrance offers a ramp which is convenient to persons with disabilities.
My hubby and I were there as they opened on a Sunday morning, we were welcomed with great hospitality, seated quickly and we started our orders. As I’ve dined in other August 8 locations, I’m familiar how things go. However, I mistakenly ordered drinks which were not included on the menu for “All you can eat.” The server was very respectful and obliged to cancel the order. We enjoyed our meal. All the food ordered from the menu was served with high quality ingredients, tasty and full of flavour.
Will definitely come back.
Highly recommended!

Service:
We were seated as soon as we reached. The orders were quite quick to arrive, and the service to take the plates quick as well. We had water, service was ok.
Improvements that would allow us to give a better score: 1. Being explained how the all you can eat option works,
2. While we ordered everything on the tablet, they could have brought the appetizers first then the rest, they brought the dessert first. The appetizers came last.
3. Checking of everything is ok during the meal.

Food: the food was very good. The soup was good and helped to stay warm. The sushi option, scallop were also tasty. Fried rice was good and we enjoyed it. The chive dumpling was not to our taste but the fried dumplings were very good. The vegetables were really tasty.

Atmosphere: quite cozy and nice for a lunch. Not too loud perfect if you want to hear each other 🙂

I don’t like to compare, but oh my god, I really felt a huge difference between the two Hamilton locations. They’re 100% superior in every way. But I won’t be going back to this one specifically, and it’s a shame. I thought they were all the same in terms of quality, service, and atmosphere, but no

Incredible “all you can eat” special! $30 and nearly endless options for small plates of delicious creations. I truly enjoyed the sushi pizza and the dim sum. We split a very cute piña mojito pitcher that came with two keepsakes. I recommend a stop at August 8, you will not regret it. Servers were attentive and kind. Food is delicious, inventive and fresh. Atmosphere is relaxing and personal. If you are in the Burlington, ON area, please give them a try

Went to August 8 in Burlington for the Friday lunch all-you-can-eat ($30 per person). The food was good overall, though the selection felt a bit limited. Several of the items listed on their à la carte menu weren’t represented at all. We understand the buffet isn’t meant to include everything, but for the price, the options could have been a bit broader.

That said, the scallops and skewers were excellent, and the Sushi Pizza is a definite must-try. The salmon teriyaki was decent but a bit mild in flavour. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything came out fresh.

Overall, a good dining experience, just a touch pricey for what’s offered at lunch, but still worth a visit for the highlights.

Haven’t been in awhile but they have really upped their game. Really great quality and lots of choices. Loved the dumplings and sushi. Kids loved choosing from the iPad. Very good option for all you can eat. Jerald was a great server!!

I’m a regular customer at August 8, and when you visit a luxury and expensive sushi restaurant, you expect things to be perfect every time. Unfortunately, during my last visit, two things were disappointing:
1. EVERY TIME we tried to order, the tablet was locked. We had to wait several minutes for a server to unlock it, and once it took over 10 minutes because everyone was busy. This made the experience frustrating as we order in portions and every time the tablet becomes locked again!. Before leaving, I asked one of the servers why it kept happening, and she said she could change the settings to keep it unlocked. I was surprised. why wasn’t it set like that from the start?

2. Some items have dropped in quality. For example, the custard buns and choco lava buns used to be filled and soft inside, but now they were dry and overheated (check the pictures). This is by far the worst chocolate lave i ever had.

I really like August 8, but I hope they fix these issues soon. the experience and quality used to be much better.

I’ve always been a fan of August 8 and visited several locations before —
but this one completely changed my experience!

The food here was honestly better than at any other location I’ve tried.
And a special thank you to Eryka — she’s amazing! She went above and beyond and made our visit unforgettable.
My kids were so happy thanks to her!

Because of Eryka, we’ll now keep coming only to this Burlington location — even though we live all the way in Mississauga.

August 8 Burlington — you’re simply the best!

The menu has changed and unfortunately not for the better. The tataki was thick and atop a huge bowl of overly dressed salad (see pic). The spicy salmon roll had no spicy mayo and the salmon in the roll and the torched salmon tasted off. The ceviche is heavy with vinegar. Everything lacking the seasoning, sauces , freshness and delicate flavours.
August 8 used to be our go-to but sadly not anymore. I wish I could give a better review but I also wish I had seen a revue like this before coming tonight.

Hands down our go-to sushi spot since moving here. The portions are large and the fish-to-rice ratio is perfect. All of the sushi is insanely fresh and flavourful every single time – but our fave is the salmon nigiri and the torched salmon nigiri — we’re obsessed.
The staff is always so friendly and welcoming – we order takeout almost every weekend. The points system and deals are a bonus. Highly recommend August 8 Burlington!
