We live nearby and have been meaning to give Augie’s a try. The staff were very nice and the ambiance was lovely. The food left much to be desired. The portions were huge but the flavors were a bit underwhelming. The best thing on the table were the wild mushrooms that accompanied a steak. Literally the best mushrooms I’ve ever had! We had the creme brûlée for dessert. The custard was divine but the sugar was burnt too much and was a little bitter. We might return and try some other menu items. Our first visit was not the most memorable.

Update: Augie’s Prime Cut is now Augie’s Prime Italian and we love the new menu! It’s basically the same as the old menu with some fresh pasta dishes. Our favorites so far are the garlic bread, the Spicy Rigatoni with vodka sauce, the garlic fries, and the Berkshire pork chop Italiano. They have some new wines too!

I swear Augie’s just gets better and better every time we come. Augie’s overall is the best steakhouse out of them all in the area and there are quite a few. My family loves the seafood options. The oysters and lobster never disappoint. I love the steaks. I find that the cuts of meat are always cooked just how I like em. Medium rare to perfection. We’ve had birthday parties here and private events for my company. The team here is easy to work with and very accommodating. Looking forward to many more meals and unforgettable times at Augie’s. Love the new Augies Prime Italian spin! I’ve always loved the restaurant, so this new addition is even better. They still have all the popular steaks and my favorite shrimp cocktail. As an Italian food lover, the home made pasta additions makes the place even better. It’s still the same great staff and fun ambiance. Make sure not to forget to order the zeppoles for desert!!!

I made reservations for my husband’s birthday on December 1st, and was so happy that I did! The entire menu was 50% off! We started with the fried calamari and they were so tender and tasted very fresh. For the entree’s he got the 42oz Porterhouse (sides not included as per usual) with a baked potato and asparagus, and I ordered the twin lobster tails, one for each of us. Tip was included into the whole price, and the service was excellent. Got this 5 star meal with awesome service for a fraction of the cost. This was a true blessing in this pandemic and made something normal (fine dining) feasible for me again during these hard times and the smile on my husbands face made it all worthwhile

Food is consistently delicious.
Remodeled.
The steak was amazing. The sauce was a light flavor. I personally prefer bolder flavors with my steak but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

The tuna tare tare was lovely. The blue cheese salad was great! I enjoyed my experience and the wait staff and Mike were very professional and accommodating!

Get the prime rib! Nothing else to really comment other than that. Shrimp bisque was delicious and was loaded with shrimp, and then of course… The prime rib!!! Buttery cut that just melts in your mouth. Cooked and seasoned absolutely perfect.

On 9/8/21 we took the 30-minute drive down from dutchess county to visit this restaurant.
This place is a must visit. Take advantage of the special in the early afternoon until 5:30 p.m. on all entrees.
All of our dishes were flavorful and cooked to perfection from the bread and roasted red pepper butter, the calamari, the baked clams oreganato to the prime rib that I had, to the rib eye that my wife had, my daughter enjoyed the chicken piccati which she said was delicious and I agreed, and my son had the chicken marsala which was outstanding. The New England clam chowder was wonderful and a very impressive portion.
Our server Matt was amazing, he made the cocktails, they were perfect and actually had alcohol in them LOL.
The other staff members made sure that empty dishes were removed promptly, which is a big pet peeve of mine and seems to be overlooked at many restaurants.

They have indoor dining and outdoor dining.

The drinks are delicious. I believe the waiter is brazilian for the bar. The oysters are so fresh and I always order that. The pasta and steak are the best. I really recommend it to come in and try it.

Very good steak. The raw bar could be a wider variety. Service was good not great. They were able to seat a party of 4 withiut a reservation even though the place was a bit cramped. Price was lower than a similar place in a bigger city. Parking is valet but limited. Dessert offered a great selection but quality for 3 out of 4 was not great. Portions are misleadingly low. 42oz Porterhouse for two seemed more like a 26oz. House wedge with Balsamic was great and you can’t mess up a baked potato.
