Amazing drinks, food, service and atmosphere. Old fashioned is a great deal. The service was prompt while being responsive. Shrimp cocktail had large shrimp, with a sauce similar to Elmos but not as spicy. Fish was prepared to perfection with an excellent sauce. Fillets were cooked exactly as requested and served hot.
Good selection of whiskey to purchase at fair prices. Overall dinner is a little expensive but fair for a fine dining experience out.

We came just for dessert… I was really craving a piece of chocolate cake. Even though we got there at very popular te they were able to seat us and took care of us very quickly. The service was great and the building was beautiful. We loved the brick, metal, and hard woods. Looking out of those huge windows was perfect while watching the snow fall. All that to say we really enjoyed being there but it wasn’t our favorite place. I would love to return for a full meal to get the full experience.

This was one of the best steakhouses I’ve been to. The atmosphere is lovely, quiet and welcoming. Our waiter was Frank. He’s very attentive, kind and friendly. He never let our glasses run dry. Now for the food. I’ll post pictures too. We ordered cheese curds. Yes, I said cheese curds. But these aren’t your ordinary cheese curds. They are so soft, yet they have a little crisp to them. You’ll have to look at the pic to see what I mean. They are surrounded by marinara sauce on a rectangular plate. Super fancy looking! My bf ordered the 16 oz ribeye, house salad and grilled asparagus. I ordered the 7 oz filet mignon, house salad and Parmesan risotto. We both had lemonade for our drinks. They also served bread and some sort of whipped butter. I’m not sure what the butter was made with. It didn’t appeal to me by my bf liked it. Afterwards we each ordered a cheesecake. We could’ve shared! It was huge. Very delicious and it was so creamy tasting it melts in your mouth! Now for the steaks…they were so tender, you almost didn’t need a knife. It was effortless to cut them. I am used to ordering Wagyu steaks online, but tell you what, these steaks ranked right up there with Wagyu, IMO. The house sale came with their house dressing which was a Raspberry vinaigrette style dressing. It was a perfect amount of dressing. Not covered, but not dry. We did not order any alcohol drinks. They have a ton to choose from. This is a two story restaurant. Very beautiful and unique inside. They even have outdoor seating for the warmer months. Do yourself a favor and stop in for some of the best food and their delicious steaks. We will definitely be returning. Yes it’s a little pricey but well worth it! You deserve a great steak!!! They have a lot of options to choose from for everyone’s needs or likes. We are happy that we chose this statehouse to dine at.

The restaurant was a bit loud from being busy, but still had a great atomsphere. The food was fantastic, the chocolate cake dessert was rich and fairly large. Alcohol was reasonably priced and plenty of options from glasses to bottles of varying price points. The staff were attentive and polite.

The food was not worth taking pictures.
Baked potato over cooked had to been sitting in the oven for at least 4 hours.
Crab cakes had some salty sauce on it and they were nothing to write home about.
Prime rib rubbery and tough to cut while sitting in a plate of peculiar juices with no flavor whatsoever.
The filet mignon I had order medium but came out well done and bland.
The bread and butter was tasty.
The French onion soup was tasty.
Overall 3/10.
Paid $110 for a basic experience.
Also you have to box your own food which I took home to the dog.
I expected more from a so call fancy steakhouse.
Not to mention they were not busy! Do better Auburn Steakhouse!

Came for an early Sat evening anniversary dinner. Prefered husband’s prime rib over my filet. Bread and butter awesome. Beef and vegetable soup was excellent. Husband preferred it over the house salad. Whipped potatoes ok. Good sweet potato. Appreciated the complimentary mousse for the occasion. Both lemon and chocolate were good but my husband loved the chocolate.
Service was just right as far as timing. Trevor was great and understanding about how I specifically wanted my steak cooked.

Phenomenal all around! Server Abby was awesome. Told her about my food allergy, and she let me know that even the buttermilk salad dressing had pepper, so she gave me an alternative option. Abby was so personable and so helpful! The food was absolutely perfect! Had a piece of delicious carrot cake for our anniversary dessert. Ended up having to take half my steak and half of my hubby’s prime rib home because we couldn’t eat it all. The portions are quite large. It’s definitely the best steak I’ve ever had! I might just have to make the 2.5-hour drive back to Auburn from our hometown just to dine here again! What a way to end our anniversary getaway! Highly recommend Auburn City Steakhouse! Love that they left some of the original hardware stores decor! Very cool place with old school charm and modern design into one. Would love to see the upstairs next visit!
