This is not what I expected. Instead, it’s exactly the type of pub I need in New Bern. While Morgans is great, MJs has great seafood, and Michael’s is real good. Attitudes is Everything you’d expect from a local bar and grille. Everyone knows everyone. You fit right in on your first visit. And the atmosphere is perfect.
Then there’s the menu. Burgers are great. The variations on the menu are . Fried flounder is perfect. I recommend the okra and potato casserole. And if you’re eating the steak, don’t forget the side salad….it has bacon, cheese, and just the right fresh crisp needed. Then there’s the carrot cake. Must have.
…oh, and fresh fried hot chips.

This is our Sunday night shag club spot. Typical bar fare, great drinks and amazing service. Typically have about 30-40 shaggers show up. We have always had a great time here.

Passing through and a friend recommended the place, I stopped in and ordered 2 seafood plates. The food was outstanding, the employees were very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. I will be back when I’m in town again and I highly recommend them.

Attitudes, GREAT NAME. That’s all they’ve ever served me there. Walked in with my wife and two kids one night. We were ignored at the door for 7-8 minutes with the bartender just sitting there staring at us. I approached and asked if it was seat ourselves style and she just shrugged her shoulders and asked “Where?”, because they were full at the moment. I asked what the wait time would be and she said she had no idea, that she had noticeable gow long it would take people to eat.
I guess I expected a warm greeting at the door, if it was that busy to let me know that the wait would be, like any other establishment would do.
Tried it a second time months later, to no avail. We walked in, we were ignored. Then the lady told us there was a large party there and would be there until they closed. Mind you, they had another 2 hours before they closed. Both times it felt like we were being annoying just trying to try their establishment and give them business.
Just absolute terrible service. They earned their star from me.

Today was our second time here and I love this place… The food is simple, but cooked with love and attention to detail, the Cakes… OMG…. I found heaven…. On our first visit we started with dessert first and then had an excellent meal. Our waitress, server, bartender, do it all and get her done right with a little sas makes this a place absolutely one of a kind. There are always those unique people that bring out the best in all of us, and can even do it with a little ATTITUDE. (I’m sure the place is named after her)! If you haven’t been, GO…. It’s a place you can let your hair down and enjoy good company and laughs. If your one of those without a sense of humor, or offends easy, then do us all a favor and eat somewhere else…. Because we’re here to enjoy life….

I’m not sure if this is the usual as there was a private event going on there when arrived. no problem getting a seat in the bar. the food and service were both just ok, but perhaps due to the large crowd on the other side.

This down home feel, little hole in the wall place has great food. It’s laid back and the food is cheap! The retired locals mixed with some transplants are super friendly for some clean wholesome Friday night karaoke and line dancing.

Really friendly staff and great food that doesn’t break the bank. This is our second trip in about a week and a half. Really good burgers and try the sweet potatoe waffle fries with honey. Home made cakes are great as well!

Attitudes is a local bar with great food & there’s a reason for the name. If you go in with that in mind you’ll have an incredible time! Been going for 15 years and always a great meal, great drinks& great time. And if you like cakes…. ooooooooolala shop yummy
