South Shore‘s favorite Realtor here with another food review. Keep in mind my reviews are based on knowing what you are getting. So I have five star reviews on my profile for high-end fancy restaurants and those reviews are based on knowing what you are expecting there as well. Given the fact that this is a local small little pizza shop I base my review and expectations on that. I expected to come in and get a fresh slice of cheese pizza and threw some carrot cake in as a bonus to try it out. The pizza is exactly what I would expect and I enjoyed it thoroughly and the person helping me threw in a free slice, so that made the experience even better. I would say the carrot cake won the day for me and was full of flavor and very fresh. The pizza was tasty and I was much satisfied with it. I got what I expected and that is why they get my favorable review. See the video for more.

I’ve always been extremely satisfied with my 3 regular orders at Athens. The grilled chicken Ceasar salad is the best I’ve had anywhere! Super tender chicken, great croutons, plenty of dressing, freshly grated cheese & even cucumbers in salad. Generous portion of everything. The chicken broccoli Alfredo is also fantastic! Their fish & chips plate is plentiful & delicious! Always ready promptly & with great & friendly service. So glad they’re one of the best local spots. Thanks.

I’ve visited a few times and brought family in to try some dishes. Pictures don’t do justice. This place is so homey. The flavors are amazing, the ingredients are so fresh. (Pizza slices are HUGE)
We’ve tried the gyro lamb pita wrap, pasta with marinara sauce, cheese pizza, baklava and everything has been espectacular. The service is amazing. Owners are very sweet. Menu is extensive and we look forward to trying more dishes.

This is now the 2nd time I order their grilled chicken pasta. This is now the 2nd time I got the pasta without anything. Look at the pic below. The food isn’t cheap either! This was on 4.8.25 so yesterday (at the time of this)
Not sure if management has changed or something. However the quality control doesn’t warrant the price. Loved them when they were Athens and never had an issue. However now I’m definitely hesitant to spend my money here again.

Don’t know how the place has good reviews. Food is nothing special. I order a chicken parm sub and eggplant parm sub. Both were on the dry side even though extra sauce was requested. In the end I won’t return here. Eggplant sub photos added for reference.

We have been going to Athens for a very long time. Food service is always hit or miss. Today my husband ordered an Italian sub, everything on it and no onions. When I bit inside of it I was so confused. This sub only had one piece of salami with lettuce, some tomatoes, pickles, and banana peppers. We called to complain and the guy who answered the phone stated the only way we could see if we can get a refund is if we brought the sub back to the store. So not only are we inconvenienced once by not getting to eat but we need to be inconvenienced again by bringing our food to the store so they can throw it out and give us our money back. Fair to say this is our last time ordering from Athens again.

Got this driving through the town, DO NOT order the “chicken cordon blue” as it came out like this. Also over half the fries are soggy from the chicken juice, but the ones that aren’t are good. Very disappointed, they should not offer something they can’t make. Also got the stuffed shells, those were good.

I was excited to have them open again. Not sure if they are the original owners of Athens (which I loved) . I have ordered an large hamburger pizza , a garden salad with tuna w/ homemade balsamic dressing and a large toasted cheeseburger sub. All were very good. I can’t eat pizza anymore but I always take a bite to try which ever pizza place my husband gets it from and this one by far is one of the best! Good dispersment of cheese to meat to sauce . It is not bar pizza and doesn’t claim to be . The large is good size. The hamburger was very tasty and well seasoned. The white tuna is very good not too mayo and not too dry. I had a half of the salad left over . So it’s a good size.
This place deserves a 2nd chance. To us it’s our new go to place.

The crew working here was very nice and they got our Hawaiian pizza out in a reasonable amount of time. But the pizza wasn’t anything special. We might have had them on an off day or something. The pizza dough was undercooked. The cheese and pineapple tasted old. We could have probably got a frozen Hawaiian and had a better experience.
