Authentic Greek restaurant serving multi-course meals to the entire family at standard faire prices. With all dinners you get choose a cup of soup, a choice of Greek of green side salad, your dinner choice, and a choice of dessert from homemade rice pudding or a scoop of ice cream. Or you can upgrade to special dessert, homemade baklava.
We have not found a better deal anywhere. Great food, great people in a comfortable and clean setting.
Do yourself and your family a favor bring them to North Fort Myers to the Athenian Restaurant.

If you are looking for old fashioned, home cooked comfort greek food then Athenian is PERFECT! I was in town on business and driving by and stopped in. The place probalbly has not been redecorated in a few decades but the food is fresh and good. Service is fast and efficienct and like typical greek restaurants overseas dinners come with both soup AND salad!

Please, avoid. Very old place with a strange sewer smell. Lots of menu items but all that we ordered was bad. Onion soup is Lipton with salt, pasta made with canned sauce. Bad service, left previous courses on the table instead of picking it up. Nothing authentic Greek. Wet utensils. Dirty glasses.

First time at our new find. Almost authentic Greek food. We tried the club deckers in grilled chicken and the split pea soup. Both items were light and flavourful. Customer service was good. The menu offers a lot more which we would try next time for sure. All in all a good find, we enjoyed our palate.

We usually get breakfast, and it’s been excellent every time… my mom raves about the lamb and salad.. this time was a fail for me…I saw others eat the same meal I ordered, with gusto, but mine was woefully undercooked and felt mushy and slimey so I’d say avoid the grouper oscar… it’s not grouper (as we know it). Stick to authentic dishes that look and smell amazing… our neighboring table enjoyed a few of these (country chicken?)… meals include soup or salad and a choice of light dessert… (the rice pudding is a favorite)

I was craving a gyro salad and looked up the closest one to me and picked the Athenian. It was everything I wanted and came with a stuffed grape leaf (the salads also come with soup and pita bread). I ended up ordering more stuffed grape leaves to go so I can have them again for dinner, along with some sliced gyro meat to make sandwiches at home. Cheryl did an excellent job of waiting on us. Food was brought out hot instead of waiting on under the lights. My wife, especially enjoyed her vegetarian omelette. If you’re looking for a restaurant that you can actually speak to the person next to you without yelling this is the one.
