Welcome to A’tera 519, a new fine dining experience, now open in downtown Scranton, brought to you by Basalyga Hospitality. A NYC vibe restaurant with a sprawling central bar, year-round glass wrapped al fresco dining, and plush mezzanine level dining overlooking it all. Food 9/10!! Service 100/10!! Phenomenal, had low expectations because sometimes nice restaurants the food is just OK at best. This meal was AMAZING! I order the pan seared halibut with brussel sprouts, 9/10! My date ordered the spaghetti pomodoro. Both soooo good, also had the flourless cheesecake and banana foster. CHEF’s KISSSS!!! Shout out to the chef fr he did his big one . Also the owners daughters were so sweet and smart! The staff was amazing 100/10 would definitely recommend !
SB: the complimentary toast starter from the chef was also good! I think it was goat cheese and raspberry, so yummy! I love this restaurant and their hospitality.

We stopped by Atera 519 in Scranton for drinks and appetizers and had such a great time! The vibe was definitely there modern, cozy, and the perfect spot to unwind. The drinks were on point, and out of all the appetizers we tried, my absolute favorite was the steamed manila clams and mussels so flavorful and fresh. A special thank you to our waiter, Crystal, who was so attentive and made the experience even better. Great atmosphere, great service, and delicious bites. Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu!

Ribeye was cooked perfectly! I also got the escargot as a starter. Was flavorful and a perfect start to the meal. Our server, Christal, was attentive and very helpful with questions about the menu. Finished off with the bread pudding. Great meal!

The restaurant was excellent. The food was unbelievably delicious—words can’t even describe how good it was. The entire staff deserves a 20 out of 10. Special thanks to Pam at the reception, who helped us with everything, and to Grace, our server, who was amazing. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful night on our anniversary. We will definitely be back soon!

Great menu. Food well prepared. Innovative. Not you same old Italian. Service could be a bit more efficient. They were apoligetic though. Food us on rhe expensuve side. The side dishes easily serve two people per portion. We haf been travelling on Rte 6 all week so it wad nice to finally find gourmet food.

On Wednesday evening, we had an amazing dinner. The atmosphere and the presence that you feel in this restaurant is unmatched. The food equally was excellent. Our table faced a panoramic glass window As we watched the sunset. The staff was seamlessly attentive. The Crispy Calamari, Served with Calabrian Chili Aioli and Pomodoro Sauce, Banana Peppers, Giardiniera was Amazing! The Veal Sausage, Romanesco, Seasonal Pesto, Parmesan, Sundried Tomatoes, Crispy Shallots the best!!

From the moment we walked in until we left, everything was perfect. The atmosphere, drinks, food, servers all perfect. They had specialty drinks, warm bread and the steak was perfect. I cannot wait to go back.

Spent the evening at Atera and would recommend you give it a try. The atmosphere is wonderful and enjoyable.
The service was kind, but our server rarely came to our table and was not attentive. We weren’t given silverware for any of our courses and had to ask for spoons and forks every time more food came. We had to ask them to clear empty plates. (Not a huge deal but noticeable).
The leak soup tasted like a sour cream and onion chip, it wasn’t horrible but kinda funny. The meatballs were INCREDIBLE and the pork chop, veal chop, and filet minion were wonderful. The whipped potatoes to die for.
However, way too much pesto on the lamb chop and had to be scrapped off.
The dessert was not great- the spice cake was incredibly dense. We did have a member of our party enjoy it but the rest of the table wouldn’t eat it.
We loved getting the carrot hummus as a compliment to our meal and the chocolates that came with the bill were wonderful.
We weren’t BLOWN away but we had a great time and I would return to try some other dishes.
