The place was clean quite eclectic in the Yale area of New Haven. Quiet jazz playing in the background good happy hour 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time 7 days a week would definitely recommend it.

So l was in the area looking for a place to eat, and I walked by and saw Atelier Florian
I walked in and there was no wait to be seated, they even let me pick where to sit so I sat near the window!
I bought a chicken cutlet sandwich ($18) it was crunchy, not dry, and has good fluffy fries. The only bad thing about the sandwich was the tomatoes, but I’m not really a big tomato lover so I think that’s just me. The sandwich also made surprisingly full! 9.8/10
The service was very nice, and even bought me fries on the house! Overall, the restaurant is a 10/10 and I highly recommend you go if you’re in the area !

Had dinner at the bar here and was relatively happy with the food. The service was great. My only annoyance was with the fruit flies! They made it difficult to comfortably enjoy my meal. Luckily, the old fashioned was strong/delicious!

I am here right now trying to find the words to describe my experience. The food that they served here was like something a bad boyfriend would make for you on your birthday. The salmon Benedict was visibly on an untoasted English muffin from Trader Joe’s. Most of the food I have ever made for myself has been better than what we ate, and I am not a very good cook. Also we came in at 11 am on a Sunday and they said they did not have any steak, at all. I am leaving this restaurant with a feeling of defeat and confusion about how any of the experience I have had could have happened in a restaurant.

My family and I were traveling from Philadelphia to Maine for our annual ski trip and found this gem in the heart of the Yale Campus in New Haven. Since it was Christmas break, it was absolutely dead since all the college kids were back home for the holidays. This place is a French Bistro style restaurant with high quality ingredients and a small, well executed menu. A little pricey for a lunch spot but all the food was really good. Our waiter K was attentive and extremely kind. He was playful with my kids and gave them a piece of candy after they ate their lunch. The clam chowder was absolutely delicious, fried calamari was Ok. I would recommend the arancini, and the Croque monsieur. Only reason for not 5 stars, I think for the price, the food should’ve been more elevated than what we got. The decor and atmosphere what excellent however!

I have #CeliacDisease and was completely #GlutenContaminated, despite my having a careful and specific conversation with my server. I asked her to speak with the cook and let me know if any items on the menu were completely gluten-free and no cross-contamination. They selected a Caesar salad (no croutons) and the grilled salmon with polenta. I asked them to make sure that the polenta was gluten-free because some cornmeal is milled and cross-contaminated. They assured me it was GF. Though the food was good, I am SO SICK today and will probably take -3-5 days to recover!

Kiet was a very attentive, knowledgeable, and thoughtful server. The mussels in white wine broth were tasty, and all the food came out piping hot. The dining room is lovely, and the staff made us napkin roses and offered wine on the house in honor of our anniversary. A very pleasant experience.

My husband and I were in New Haven for a concert at College Street Music Hall and came across this beautiful, bright, welcoming spot. The social hour (much cooler
way of saying happy hour) sign outside caught our eye, and we were pleased to see it was offered on the weekends. (Menu states the social hour is Tues-Sat 3-6
Pm, Sun all day!) The general manager Steph took great care of us at the bar. We tried the house red (a merlot; not usually our preferred red but she gave us a taste and it was pretty decent), a local beer, two glasses of house rose (a delicious French rose) and a dozen Blue Point oysters (2$ a piece on the social hour). It was a lovely place to spend a couple of hours! Very chill and relaxing vibe. The bar seating is comfortable and spacious, the restaurant is brightly lit, they played great music; for those that prefer outdoor seating there was a nice set-up out there as well. We plan to come back whenever we’re in town next!

Recently, my wife and I had the pleasure of hosting an evening reception at Atelier Florian, and we were impressed with all elements….from the scheduling to the planning to the event itself. The food, accommodations, and service were impeccable, but honestly, our greatest praise goes to the restaurant’s exceptional manager, Ms. Lange King. Rarely have we encountered a hospitality leader as detailed and reliable and gracious.
If you are planning a hospitality event in New Haven, you owe it to yourself to call Ms. King and check out Atelier Florian.
