This is my favorite teriyaki place, hands down. The mac salad is fire and their teriyaki sauce is to die for… Make sure you order extra sauce. Also, usually they have a flan dessert but this time they had Coconut cream rice pudding and the rice was purple. It was decent, but needed more sugar, in my humble opinion. They served it warm, I took it home and added sone caramel and whip cream and loved it. Chicken teriyaki though, you can’t go wrong. Also I believe the parking lot located on the back side of the building is fair game if there’s no easy street parking.

Everything was delicious. The fried rice with spam and an egg on top. The curry soup which came recommended. And the pork sandwich with a side of macaroni. Juicy and really good. We even ordered another pork sandwich for later. The drinks (one was a virgin Piña Colada and the others were daquiries). We really enjoyed it.q

Love the new addition of peas. Long standing favorite restaurant of all the Portland area. Not sure why the rating is lower than deserved because this is the best food ever.

Amazing food with friendly service staff that go above and beyond. Couldn’t recommend enough for a comfort food fix. Love the mac salad and teriyaki chicken. Simple, small but great beer selection.

So far, best Hawaiian food in the city. Been coming here for about 5 years (mostly take out) and have tried 1/2 dozen other places. This takes the cake.
Teriyaki chicken and mochiko chicken are the best things on the menu.

I always get my food to go or delivered, mainly because I eat alone, so I cannot attest to the atmosphere, but, it seems like a nice, clean family style environment whenever I have picked up my order myself. The dish I always get is the Curry Bowl and I like to add one of the chicken choices to it. I usually switch them up each time. The only thing that I have had issue with is that they used to prepare the curry bowl with big chunks of sweet potatoes and the other vegetable components. Now they dice everything into small bite-size pieces and that has taken away the presentation appeal for me which is really an important aspect of how well your taste buds like a certain dish. I wish they would go back to preparing the curry bowl the way they used to. It was absolutely beautiful and made your mouth water just looking at it. Now, not so much and that has lessened my pleasure in eating the curry bowl

Went last year and loved it so this year, this was the only place my friends and I went as a staple. The food was amazing, the staff were so nice and accommodating, and the atmosphere was sublime. If I go back to portland next year, this would be one of the first restaurants that I visit again!

The staff was really friendly and so helpful. I was slightly disappointed with the flavors of the food, the kahlua pork was very salty and the shoyu chicken was very dry and not very flavorful. Having lived in Hawaii for 20 years I was surprised at the flavors not being the same as what I was so used to. However that being said overall it wasn’t bad and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Oh, this place hit the spot! Baby ate the musubi so fast I couldn’t get a pic. The husband had the short ribs, and I had the loco moco. My comfort food. I’m a gravy snob, and this place did not pour it from a can. Authentic and fresh. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you. Mahalo

AMAZING! They were busy but so kind when I visited. My food was hot and ready within 15 minutes. I got the chicken katsu. Big portions! I was so happy with how everything tasted. First time I’ve had macaroni salad that actually has flavor to it. I will visit again!
