The food was outstanding. The place was clean. Linen napkins elevated the atmosphere. Service was prompt and courteous.
It was snowing so the place was fairly empty. Someone was actively clearing the parking lot which was nice to see.

I had the Latka Benny and 2 glasses of apple juice, my husband had the breakfast sampler and an orange juice.

Portion size was large (had we known we would have shared) If, like myself, you have worked in hospitality and are a good tipper 20-25% expect breakfast for 2 to run you upwards of $70, with tip my bill for breakfast was over that.

It was fantastic but I would have opted for smaller portions and a more resonable bill for breakfast.

The bill came to 59 and change. The 2 entrees totaled 34.00 so 3 drinks and tax were almost as much as the cost of the entrees.
Not a complaint so much as spreading awareness because it caught me by surprise.

Have come several times since it changed hands and wanted to finally give a review. Loved John & Elayne’s, went there for years with my father-in-law. At the Point is amazing as well! Not often does a place do as well or better than the last place when it changes hands and the previous joint was a local favorite. At the Point IMHO is one of those such spots. The menu is flat out one of the best I’ve seen in years! So many amazing choices from savory to sweet, creative fun names for everything, outstanding choices, tons of options for every palate. They kept some of the staples from before which is a nice hat tip to tradition but you can also tell the new chef/owner wanted to have some fun with the menu and it’s a hit in my book!

The food is very fresh, coffee hot and delicious, and the service is as good as it always was! Tanya is the best!

The pancakes are next level, all of their omelettes I’ve tried have been dynamite, favorites include the French Onion Omelette, Reef & Beef and Juan in a Million. Today we had the Sunrise in Tulum Birria tacos and Country Benny (okay along with a flight of pancakes, stop judging). Everything was great! Avocado toast options are fantastic as well.

Love seeing such an iconic local breakfast joint not only stay as good as it’s always been but actually improve. This is a can’t miss for breakfast or lunch if you’re in Point Pleasant Beach or even just passing thru. Keep up the great work At The Point Diner!

I don’t understand the hate and why people are so angry. I’m glad John & Elaine’s is gone. The place was so dirty and the food hasn’t been good in years. At The Point Diner is a great place and I wish people would give this place a chance. The restaurant looks so nice and clean. The food is incredible! The disco fries did not disappoint & it’s my favorite disco fries I’ve ever had. The quesobirra was so so good!! I will definitely be back to try their breakfast!! Thank you for existing and I am so happy we have a good diner in town!!!!

Local Girl Approves!!
I am so happy that me and my sister came in for lunch today!
The staff was so friendly when we walked it. They gave the whole place a great vibe.
As for food, there were too many options that I wanted to try. It was hard to pick, so that means I have to come back to try more things! I got a sandwich and it was so good! Rich with flavors and the chicken was perfectly fried! The fries were perfect and addictive!
The look of the place is bright, clean, and a fresh new diner vibe! A very needed upgrade from the version it was prior to these new owners!
Overall, really like this place and recommend others to give this place a try! You won’t be disappointed!!

The service was not wonderful, we waited a bit then our food order was taken but no drink order. Finally on the 3rd trip to the table we ordered something to drink.
I ordered the shrimp parm and was very unhappy they left the shell on the tails. They said that is how you serve shrimp, I said not when it is covered in breadcrumbs, sauce and I don’t know it until it is in my mouth. They seemed unfazed and later the waitress said okay I get it. They did offer to redo but I already was over it. My friend did like her crab cakes

Place was nearly empty when we showed up. Looked closed from outside. Took a chance, went in, had an awesome meal! The place was far better than expected! Everything was perfect! Awesome breakfast options and portions were bigger than expected! If it looks closed due to poor lighting outside, dismiss it and head on in! It will be worth your while

This is under new ownership and this was our first time here. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We went for brunch and I had the best pancakes – not heavy, and had a little crisp on the edges which I love. My husband had the Peter Sweet which he said was the best thing he’s had in awhile. The wait staff was welcoming and the place itself was very clean.

Great food. Had a machiatto for coffee and I’m happy that they use a good brand of coffee for a change from normal diners.

My husband and I ate here a week ago and had 2 great meals. The red velvet waffles were delicious. My husband had eggs Benedict which he thoroughly enjoyed. Diego was a great host. We are back again tonight and they have a new dinner menu. Please give this small business a chance.

I don’t understand the negative reviews at all.
The price was standard for a diner.
Our server was attentive and excellent.
Orange juice was fresh squeezed. My omelette and home fries were cooked perfectly. My daughter loved her burger and fries.
It’s more of a breakfast/brunch place. It doesn’t have a huge NJ diner menu but what they have is very well done.
