Stopped in for a brunch with the wife after deciding to find somewhere new while in town…and SO GLAD we did!
The atmosphere was wonderful. Small, pretty quiet, great ambiance.
Service was prompt and attentive. Very friendly.
The menu is limited, but still good variety.
The food was PHENOMENAL overall. The wife’s breakfast sausage patty was just “off” to put it correctly. Not improperly cooked, but just strange and tasted weird.
The burger and French toast however were absolutely incredible and my drink was delicious (went with the Golf Rush).
Will stop in again anytime we’re in the area.

Prompt and excellent service. Cafe type setup with a cozy farm chic. Smaller restaurant but packs a nice atmosphere. Food is exceptional! Loved every bite. Staff were friendly and accommodating for those with allergies. I will definitely return!

Loved our experience at Aster tonight! The food was delicious to say the least. My husband said the waffle fries were the best he’s ever had. We had hush puppies, pea risotto, salad, and chicken sandwich. We would order any of these again! So good, glad they are in midland. Visit, you won’t be sorry!

Had a wonderful dinner tonight. Clean modern atmosphere with some beautiful natural finishes. The staff and chef were very kind and prompt. We had several of there dishes which were delicious and beautifully designed. Also they invested into their plateware so every meal has a different look. I highly recommend visiting them for a fun creative food experience.

Evan creates his menu from the freshest local ingredients and each bite counts. Each ingredient is thought through and the taste snaps in your mouth. It’s incredible and his Chicago influences are undeniably solid. You can’t inmate what he has done. If you live local to aster and have not been there yet then I inspire you to get there asap. Brunch is amazing too! Five stars forever! Also the libations are on point and carefully mixed before your eyes!

The chef here is amazing! I’ve never had anything that I didn’t like. We’ve been to Aster for Ramen night several times, and it’s our favorite place to eat in Midland. The ramen is to die for and you’ll definitely want more. My husband asked the chef once and he told us that the ramen broth is cooked for 3 days! It’s so full of flavor and truly unforgettable.

Brunch today was our second meal here in 2 days. We are hooked! Knowing that most of Evan’s ingredients are organic & locally sourced is what brought us in on Friday to begin with. We came back today because that first meal was outstanding!!
