What a great vibe! Especially during the Holidays! A true log cabin with winter scenes everywhere and you add in a few friends or family and you cannot go wrong! Locally owned and oporated makes supporting this place that much easier. We shared multiple appetizers and still had leftovers to take home between 3 people. That mushroom soup was amazing!

The service is impeccable; however, the food portions and quality is unacceptable! The ribs were horrible and tasted like mid beef jerky all for $25+. Will go back for drinks, but will not drop a dime on the food.

The staff here is pretty good and greets you as you walk in. Our waiter was good as well. The inside fits the name of the restaurant as there are a lot of animals on the wall. The food here was pretty good and cooked as ordered. The pretzel bites were some of the best I had in a while. The bread was good with some of the dip they serve it with. The flavor of the burger and lamb chops were good. The fries we well seasoned and crisp. The only issue with the food was how small the burger was. Other things I saw, there were a few stans on the wall, and I did see a gnat flying around near my table.

We met friends for dinner at Aspen tonight and had a great experience. There was a short wait of about 15 minutes, which was expected for a Friday evening at 6 p.m. The dining area was fairly loud due to being full, but it felt festive with all the holiday lights and energy.
Clint was our server and provided some of the best service we’ve had in a restaurant in a long time. He was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the evening. Our meals were served promptly and cooked exactly as ordered, and our bread and drinks were refilled without us having to ask.
Dessert was the perfect ending — the carrot cake did not disappoint, and the coffee was hot and delicious. Thanks for the recommendation, Clint!

The buffet was excellent! Everything I mean Everything was delicious Almost as good as my Mom’s .Hoping for a Christmas Eve buffet!Was not impressed with the desserts but I was so full I really didn’t need them,our server Bill was the best!We left there to drive back to Detroit all smiles

We’ve stopped by before for the bar where we had some Aspen Punch (which did, in fact, pack a punch) and some Chicken Strips and those were a hit, so we decided to stop by again. The Bearclaw Martini was delightful, they really know how to make a great drink. For food we both got the Chicken Asiago, flavors were great, though the dish was a tad oily and a bit on the heavier side, but heated up well and was delicious. The pretzel bites were very well made, a bit sweeter than what I’m used to, which I actually really enjoyed. The bread and butter was absolutely fantastic. Would recommend it, I might stop in on an occasion for a drink at least.

Just had my daughters baby shower there today and I cannot say enough good things about Aspen! The staff was amazing…helpful, polite and super friendly! The food was amazing!! I highly recommend the chicken Florentine. And the Campfire Room was beautifully set up!

Everything in this place is home-made!
I think this is the best restaurant in Metro Detroit and I love going out to eat at new places.
There was a 30 min wait on a Saturday night, but well be worth it.
They have a 25% discount for a veterans entree (all/any entree).
Nachos appetizer; the salsa is truly delicious and fresh.
Coconut shrimp entree; the coconut was not overpowering, with a nice sized piece of crisp shrimp.
Bear Claw cheesecake; it was delicious and not overly sweet or rich. It was soft and smooth.
Our waiter Nick was wonderful. He was attentive and friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant.

My shrimp scampi was good – food was hot which I appreciate so much. The loaded tater tots was good also. My niece had the polish plate special – she liked it. Her husband had 1 of the chefs special (steak w/some sort of bourbon sauce) he liked.

June 2023 – came here for dinner after arriving home from a flight. Wife decided on this place and a place we haven’t been to in years. Towards the back is a nice deck that has two TV’s I think. We sat inside and someone was playing music. It was good and not to loud. They have a bar separate from the main room. In a private room in the back they had a large party. We could not hear them.
Kids menu are for those under the age of 10. My 3 daughters had a nice list to pick from. Two chicken nuggets meals and spaghetti. All 3 come with one side, a drink, sundae and a toy from the chest. The kids had a good time and loved everything.
My wife ordered the blueberry lemonade and she said it was good. She had the almond walleye and she said it was really good. She had a side salad and a potato for the side (get two sides for the main dish). I ordered the fish n chips. The fish and chips were good. I would get them again. We ordered chips n guac. That was very good!
We had Jessica as our waitress and she did a great job, thank you!! Staff was nice and answered any questions we had. Overall, it was great place to visit and I would suggest you try it.
