Family owned and operated halal Pakistani- Indian restaurant in San Francisco, serving authentic curries, biryanis, tandoori specialties, and vegetarian as well as vegan dishes. Fresh ingredients, warm hospitality, dine in, takeout, delivery, and catering available.
Northern Indian dishes anchor the menu at this colorful eatery, but there’s Pakistani food too.

Aslam’s Rasoi is hands down one of the best Pakistani/ Indian restaurant of all time. The food is INCREDIBLE. The flavors are out of this world, very traditional, and immaculate. A world class chef Aslam and son Assad, run this restaurant and their expertise shows. I dream of the sauce. Butter chicken, prawns korma, saag paneer, lamb madras, goat cheese naan. My mouth is watering as I write this. The menu is expansive. From veggie, chicken, seafood, lamb specialty plates to all types of tandoori they have you covered. I have been coming here for 15 years. The owners here are like family and their dedication to their food, customers and community shows. You can ALWAYS feel the love here, and taste the love in the food. I can’t say enough about Aslam’s Rasoi. This is a MUST GO!

After almost 20 years, this San Francisco staple was on the verge of closing for good but has thankfully managed to keep their doors open so they can keep serving up the tastiest Indian/Pakistani food in the city. Stop by Aslam’s Rasoi the next time you’re in the mood for a fresh and flavor packed dinner. And don’t forget to ask for their new mango lychee drink – it’s one of the tastiest new items on their menu.

If you’re craving delicious Indian-Pakistani food, this is the perfect spot!
For the ultimate combo, try the Chicken Tikka Masala (you can choose your spice level, 2-3 is just right), paired with Chicken Tandoori and Garlic Naan. A must try place in SF.

Food is great, worth trying! We ordered fish pakora, chicken masala, lamb rogan josh, chicken biryani, and naan. Everything was really good, just on the greasy side, as Indian and Pakistani food is. Don’t want to forget service was awesome!
Our second visit was great! As usual wonderful service, the food was yummy, Tandoori Platter and samosas were very delicious. We tried Kashmiri Pulao for the first time, and it was loaded with nuts and fruits. It was very mild, and if someone can’t handle the spices, it is perfect for them.
We are looking forward to trying other items on the menu.
We have dined in couple of times and it’s always a wonderful experience.
Ordered food again from Aslam’s, every food item was delicious. We ordered Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, Baingan Bharta, Chicken Biryani, Assorted Naans. They added mint chutney and onion salad to the meal.
Order was ready as promised and
the packaging was great.
This restaurant never disappoints. You just wait outside in the car and they bring the order quickly to you.
Thank you Aslam’s Rasoi!!

I’ve had a lot of Indian food at different places, but this one has truly become my favorite so far. The food is absolutely amazing every dish is packed with authentic flavors, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The service is just as impressive, with staff who are friendly, attentive, and make you feel genuinely welcome. On top of that, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, creating the perfect setting whether you’re coming for a casual meal, a family dinner, or even a special occasion. Overall, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again.

In my life, I’ve written less than 3 reviews. This restaurants stands out to be one of them. Sonia did a fantastic job and made this experience truly unforgettable, all while accommodating food restrictions. Kudos to whoever hired her! Will surely be coming back

10 out of 5 stars. Seriously. The food is amazing. I ordered the chicken tikka masala this time, and the chicken is so tender, juicy, saucy, and packed with flavor. In love. Sonia is the sweetest server with thee best food recommendations if you don’t know what to order or want to try something new. Every single dish I’ve tried from Aslam’s is on point! Even my 6 year old picky eater nephew gives them a thumbs up. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the mood for quality yum yums.

Yummy Desi Food in SF!! Loved their papadum (ask to put chaat masala to elevate the flavors), damn good chai , mango lassi , pakoras.. also really enjoyed their chili kulcha and paneer tikka korma. Great options for non-vegetarians too .
Special mention to the hosts, they are super welcoming and warm!!

February 2022:
Enjoyed a pleasant meal here. Saw this place on Check Please and wanted to give it a try. The lady who greeted us was very friendly. Asked if we were vaccinated but didn’t check our credentials. ☹️
We ordered the dal, bengan bartha (eggplant), saag paneer, naan, and roti. Everything was tasty. We asked for medium spicy but it was weird in that both the saag paneer and the bengan bartha had chunks of green colored peppers (serrano maybe?) that was quite spicy hot. I would have preferred the hotness to be more subtle. Also the food was only lukewarm. I would have preferred the food to be warmer.
I liked the roti. Very tasty.
All in all, rating four ⭐ because of the areas of improvement noted. I’d come back again to try the place again.

Well-made Indian/Pakistani food. Nowadays they know me and actually give me real spicy food. The Chicken Jalfreezi is my go-to, but when I’m with friends or just not feeling like the full body experience, the Navrattan Korma is a favorite (vegetarian, and has cashews and pineapple), as is the Paneer Tikka Korma. I’m a personal believer in no rice, just naan, but your mileage may vary. (I once saw a friend pick up rice with the naan… but he was also ordering his food mild, so nothing about his methods would correspond with my recommendations.)
I recommend the pickles (achar pachranga) as well, and the raita.
But everything is good, and they’re super friendly, and you should give them your money.
Quality has never flagged; I love this place and recommend it to everyone I can.
Still a devotee after many years. And happy to see the place getting busier on the weekends. They have struggles now with their landlord and the more you can go the better.
