The wonton soup is fresh and the wonton are filled with meat. Most places give you a lot of cabbage but this restaurant has a delicious filling. The broth is fresh and not greasy or overcooked.
My friend ordered chicken wings and they are the best in town. They aren’t overpriced either.
The boneless barbecued spare ribs were not greasy nor fatty. Perfectly done.
The General Tso’s chicken was also perfectly coated and seasoned. The broccoli was fresh and firm.
The fried rice is also very good. Overall, you cannot get a bad meal here. The pricing is very reasonable and the staff is lovely. This is my new Chinese place. Many thanks to the mom!
Parking is easy to find. If you want to dine in, they have clean tables and an immaculately clean bathroom. Great to take the little ones too.
Overall 4.9/5.0
General Tso Chicken – 4.9/5
The flavor is spot on, not too sweet, mild spice but enough kick. Not greasy, fresh oil. The meat:breading ratio, just needs to be slightly bigger meat for that perfect taste.
Curry Chicken – 4.9/5. Good amount of chicken, sliced well, very tender. Just need a bit more curry flavor to make it a 5/5.
Beef Garlic – 4.9/5. Veggies blanched very well. Sauce not too sweet. Good amount of beef. Just 10% too much corn starch in the sauce to make it perfect.
Egg rolls 4.0/5. This was the only major disappointment. Will not order again. Fresh fry oil taste, wrapper wrapped well, great cabbage filling, just not enough pork as you can see in the pictures. Just tiny pieces of pork as if it’s bacon crumble for a salad.
One note: the parking lot in the shopping mall is horrible. Always packed, many illegal double parking near the dance school next door, and only 1 exit/entrance when there should be two exits, one at each end of the lot. Can take up to 10 mins to leave the parking lot which is nuts. If this food wasn’t good, I wouldn’t come. It’s worth it to put up with this crappy parking lot.
After my review (above), basically saying the boneless ribs were overcooked and the fried dumplings were only fried on one side, the woman that I speak to all the time (for a # of years) called me and offered to send me another order. I declined, but I so appreciated her kindness and grace to offer. It shows that she really cares about her customers! I don’t know her name, but thank you, again, for your offer. This is what a good business does!
If the restaurant can’t handle the volume during peak hours, they seriously need to reconsider their staffing or operating hours. Either hire more help or avoid opening during lunch and dinner rush. Maybe 11pm to 9am would suit them better. Disappointing experience!
I may be a bit biased here. But I dislike when chinese food places use old oil and drench everything in grease. Asian house has clean flavor, where you can actually taste the ingredients (from the vegetable fried rice). One thing that I always get from chinese food spots to know their quality is by ordering their shrimp toast. Every other spot i’ve been to near by will serve a burnt, nearly black, old grease filled shrimp toast. But at Asian house, they served me a golden brown shrimp toast where the oil tasted fresh and i can actually taste the shrimp.
I truly have found my chinese food spot for good.
