I wanted to like this place since the worker was so nice… But the food was not good. The rice had no flavor-was not fried rice. The soups were slimy and weird. The wontons and egg rolls barely had anything inside. The meals had very little chicken and had mostly rice under the few pieces of chicken. The sweet and sour sauce was good-your normal take out sauce. The fried shrimp was some teeny tiny shrimp in a ton of batter. And the bill for four of us was over $88 w/tip. Yikes. I probably should’ve walked out. (I paid when I ordered.) I am really shocked that there were so many good reviews.

The lady at the counter is SO sweet and always so happy!! The food is great too and overall I had a great experience with the take out! She gave my friends and I almond cookies and was just so nice and gave us compliments too I am 100% going again in the future definitely recommend ❤️❤️

Found this restaurant on my way to work and was craving Chinese food. The owner was very polite and cheerful and greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. I ordered the wonton soup and sesame chicken. It was the BEST wonton soup I’ve had in a LONG time as was the sesame chicken! Apparently this is a new owner from the previous people who occupied this building. Anyways, HIGHLY recommend Asian Gourmet if you have a craving for Chinese food!

It’s always a great experience everytime I order from this place! Lucy, the person who’s always at the desk, bless her soul, the nicest and sweetest person I have ever met. The food is great and sometimes she puts a little extra things with our food. She’s so sweet and the food is always delicious. My personal favorite is the sugar donut things. If I could give this place more than five stars, I would.

Update: I went back for my second time to give it another try. This time I ordered the C11 which is a combination meal. I had the roast pork lo mein, fried rice,and an egg roll. The roast pork,and lo mein were very good with good flavor.
The fried rice was not like any fried rice I ever had. It was yellow like the yellow rice you get with puerto rican and pulled pork,but ok it was still rice.
The eggroll was so cute I almost wanted to put a keychain on it.
I just had my first meal from here. I will give this another try,but for my first experience I will say it has good and bad.
I was first put off by the menu prices, but I wanted chinese food,and Caro doesnt offer much for restaurants.
This place is pricey. I ordered a large sweet/sour chicken,and small crab ragoon. I left a $3tip which I wont do again. I have no idea why i tipped at a takeout place …you dont tip when going to pick up a pizza, chicken, or burgerking.
What i ordered was over 21$ I could have ate at Lugos twice for that amount.
The sweet/sour chicken could have been cooked slightly longer as the batter wasnt quite done. It was also bland. The batter could use some vanilla or almond extract. They barely give you enough rice…C’mon its rice. Why make yourself look cheap for lacking rice.
The crab ragoon was spot on tastey,but again they charge a premium for somethibg that cost pennies.
I will give them one more try on lo mein… and if they are small for the price I will be done.
I am guessing they feel since they are only chinese place in 30 miles they can get away with it,but they also need to realize they only have a small population in 30 miles to so be fair.

Suppose to have almond chicken not sure what this is but cant eat it its terrible. Wonton soup the wonton are slimy and nothing is in them. Egg roll is probably worst I ever had. Chicken fried rice wasn’t bad but 22 buck down the drain still hungry

This woman knows what’s she’s doing, everything is good. I walk in and she’s always just the sweetest person. She’s makes the best chicken on a stick and I will stand by that until that lady retires. Menu prices are a bit more expensive but it’s so worth it.

Lucy is so friendly, service is fast and prices are very affordable. Just passing through and discovered this place. It has take-out only. Kudos to hardworking couples like them!
