What is a good Chinese buffet around McKinney area? – Facebook

Asian Buffet is by far the best in DFW that I’ve been to. And luckily, we have it here in McKinney.|Dinner has more options.

We brought my mom and the kids here for the first time and everyone left happy! The food was fresh, hot, and constantly refilled. Even during busy times, the trays stayed full and everything tasted great.

There’s a huge variety of options — lots of seafood, plenty of classic Asian dishes, and an impressive dessert bar. The kids especially loved the dessert section!

The restaurant was clean, staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable for families. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good Asian buffet in McKinney!

This is ever-so-slightly below my expectations for an Asian buffet, in both food quality and service. It’s a nice building and everything appears to be clean. After sampling a good cross section of their available offerings, I took the liberty of creating a few dishes, which are pictured. Those are: traditional appetizer trio; fried octopus on bed of Lo mein; broccoli beef with wantons; bananas China; pastry selection.

The octopus was absolutely inedible. It was possibly the most rubbery thing I’ve ever had in my mouth – and that’s saying something. Otherwise, all of the food was incredibly bland. Not bad. Not great. Just very, very bland.

We’ll probably come back. It was just okay and sometimes that’s what we want.

I had a great experience at this Asian buffet! The food was fresh, flavorful, and there was a wide variety to choose from. Everything was well prepared and the buffet was kept clean and stocked.

I especially want to give a big shoutout to the manager, Andy. He was extremely kind, professional, and made sure the service was excellent. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customers and the quality of the restaurant. Amazing service, great food, and an overall great buffet. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Great Asian buffet with a wide variety of food options. There’s something for everyone, from classic Chinese dishes and stir-fried noodles to sushi, dumplings, and fresh seafood. The food is well stocked and comes out hot and fresh. I especially liked the mix of familiar favorites and the grill station where you can customize your meal. Desserts were simple but satisfying. Overall, a good place to go if you want plenty of choices and value for your money.

This place has so much to offer: Mongolian grill (fresh items cooked while you wait), 15+ sushi options, signature Chinese dishes & American kid favs like fries & chicken nuggets. Be prepared for hearing some broken English. Yet all the servers are quick & cordial. It was $18.99 for weekend lunch.

Its always super busy, and every time I go, I head to sushi and load up. The sushi rice does not taste right. It doesnt taste like normal sushi rice. Its def missing something. Our server did not understand us but she was very sweet and said merry Christmas which I loved. Come on guys, you need better flavors!!! Dont go cheap on flavors with sushi!. 20 for a plate of sushi that I barely ate. Gotta make it tasty!!! But again, our server was sweet. Merry christmas!!!

Asian Buffet has very good food, but it’s the same as you’d get at Great Wall or other buffets. What puts it above the rest, IMO, is cleanliness and attention to detail. Everything looks well maintained. I’ve been in on slow and busy days, management keeps an extremely organized process ongoing to make sure you’re served swiftly but not obtrusively. Alongside standard fare, 6 full tables of it, you have a very good Mongolian wok, sushi, chocolate fondue, ice cream, and a section of steamed buns. Highly enjoyable, great selection, and friendly service. Top notch buffet.

I have passed by this Asian Buffett so many times, and finally stopped! Didn’t know what to expect but I was completely gobsmacked when I went in…Talk about a buffet! I have never seen such a huge buffet… To even include sushi …fresh sushi! I just wanted to take a little sample of each item that I saw that I wanted to try… So many new treats I’d never had before…
Even a beautiful dessert bar… This place is too good to be real! ☺️

It’s okay. It’s not great but it’s not bad. I’ve been here multiple times but it’s only because it’s the closest buffet next to Princeton. They do have a large variety, but the food is mediocre at best. The only thing I slightly loved was the orange chicken. I liked the egg drop soup too because the flavor levels were decent.
The chicken skewers are always dry like jerky and too salty. The sushi always has a weird tartness to it, like they were marinated in sodium, ginger, or lemon. Definitely not as fresh as it could be. The crab legs are so thin, there’s barely a point in grabbing any. When you’re finished with your meal, you feel a little bloated and unwell. Probably the additives and such.
The dessert isn’t that good. The coffee cake slices are decent, but the rest are pretty bad. The cookies are dirt dry, the cheesecake cups are overly sweet like icing, and the ice cream is grainy.
The pricing is a little steep for how much you actually eat. 14-18 bucks a person for 2-3 plates. It really should depend on the plate not the same price each time. I see how buffets make their money.
Overall don’t expect much here. There’s plenty of buffets in other places with better tasting options.

Over hyped!!!

It’s okay. It’s not knocking you out of the park, great, or disgusting. It’s just okay. It’s mid.

I had a table of 16 with 3 babies. They got us in super fast, even though the place was packed! So off at the start, this place seems fantastic; however, the food was not what I was expecting. The orange chicken was a bit chewy and tough. The noodles were cold. The dumplings were good, and the shrimp were okay but tasted too fishy (yes, I know it’s shrimp, but it shouldn’t be tasting this fishy). I tried their sushi and was very disappointed. They made it fresh but it still tasted stale and old. But that’s the thing. The food was just okay. It wasn’t what I thought it would be. It looked better on the table than it did in my mouth. The water tasted clean, which was nice! You can’t get fresh water like that in Ohio. The ice cream was good. It tasted like frosting, with the consistency of ice cream. The tables felt clean, and the place seemed clean.

There was a lot of food, and I think that’s their problem. When you have so much food to offer and to cook to keep fresh, you fall through the cracks. Although this is definitely the best Asian buffet I’ve ever been to, I’m from Ohio, and they don’t have any decent restaurants or fast food. I had a wonderful time with my family. I’m a bit disappointed. My waitress was sweet and kept our tables clean.
