Went for dinner. What I love about this place is for dinner you can get both menus. I ate off dinner menu n my boyfriend picked off all day menu. Best of both worlds.Great atmosphere. So much more quieter than the first time we went. Had a omg tasty tasty meal. The chicken was so tender and juicy. It might be the best chicken I’ve ever eaten. Totally worth it. The steak was super tender and the fries are perfectly cooked. A little thicker than a shoestring fry and crispy. Just how I like it. Thank goodness my boyfriend shares. Lol
1. Ask 3 times for a menu.
2. Ask 4 times for a leftover box.
3. Dessert delivered before dinner plates were cleared.
4. Asked for check – it has been more than 20-minutes.
But the steel drum music was nice.
I loved being in the pub in my robe, with a dear friend, and getting a strawberry mule made most excellently by Stacie P! Stacie made us feel welcome, explained the menu options, and answered all of our questions with ease. Showing sensitivity for my friend’s allergy concerns, Stacie mentioned that what my friend wanted to order would put her at risk for cross-contamination with seafood. That information was great! The open-faced steak sandwich special was amazing, and the sweet potato fries are the best. Her grilled cheese with chorizo was perfect, too. I love lunch at Ascot’s! It’s a real treat!
The ambiance is not loud and it’s a good place for conversation. Think mature setting. For jovial fun, look elsewhere.
