We really enjoyed our Christmas dinner at Ascione! We ordered from the Christmas special menu. Both choices, Halibut and New York Strip Steak, were excellent! The food came to the table hot, which is very important! Both dishes were seasoned to perfection! We ahared a tiramisu, which was delicious! The wait staff was very attentive, accomodating and a pleasure to interact with throughout the meal! Thank you Ascione for an Awesome experiencs! Looking forward to my next visit!!

Positives: Delicious cioppino with really well cooked and fresh tasting seafood. We also enjoyed the grilled octopus and tuna tartar appetizers. The risotto with our halibut dishes tasted good. We enjoyed our creme brule that we had for dessert. Service was good. They offer a coat check.
Things for the restaurant to work on: Halibut was a bit overcooked. I wasn’t offered a box or container for my leftover cioppino. It was just taken away.

Nice upscale Italian restaurant. We showed up without a reservation but they squeezed us in if we made it quick. Got the carpaccio and Fiorentina steak. It was absolutely amazing. Best piece of meat I’ve had in quite a while, perfectly cooked. The sides were awesome too.

Food was amazing and atmosphere was wonderful. Although I’d rate it 4.5 instead of 5 if Google let me. Due to the table I was sat at, it felt like it took longer for me as a solo diner to get the same treatment as the table next to me that had two diners and was sat at the same time (bread came out later, table wasn’t dressed the same, a couple table-side options not offered). But it was a minute spot on an otherwise great time.

We recently celebrated our mom’s 90th birthday and chose Ascione’s Italian Restaurant to cater this very special occasion, and it was one of the best decisions we could have made.
From the very beginning, Jonathan and Alex were incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and accommodating. They guided us through the menu and made wonderful recommendations, and they were absolutely right. The gnocchi was a universal favorite among our guests, and the small meatballs were such a hit that they disappeared before I even had a chance to try one. Every single dish was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor.
Our guests raved all afternoon and evening about the quality of the food. So many people commented that it was some of the best catered food they had ever had. The catering staff was equally amazing, professional, attentive, warm, and completely on top of everything. They made the entire event feel seamless and stress-free for our family.
We are so grateful to Ascione’s for helping us create such a memorable and joyful celebration for our mom. We cannot recommend them highly enough and will absolutely use them again in the future.

This is a fairly small place but their lobster ravioli is full of flavor. The cognac sauce is creamy and the lobster filled ravioli was nicely filled and very tasty.
Ill need to stop in again as I was kind of in a rush to get to my real destination in The Loop. But kudos for the fast service!!

Plan ahead for parking – there is a Trader Joe nearby with sufficient parking & easily walk to the restaurant. Service was excellent, the team works very well together regardless if you sit inside or outside. Food was well prepared & hot when served outside. Expect quite a bit of foot traffic around you if you sit outside. Wine & Cocktail selections were very good.

Had lunch here and everything was really nice. Caesar salad was fresh, crunchy, not too heavy. Seafood linguine—seafood tasted fresh, sauce was good, not too salty.
Fried calamari had real pieces, not just batter. Crispy and soft, really enjoyed it.
Staff were polite and friendly.
The place was quiet, maybe still new? But it’s actually a nice spot for a calm lunch.

The food is great. If you have dietary restrictions, I recommend this place 10/10. Rarely do I feel like I can go out to eat these days since I cannot eat dairy or eggs. This restaurant blew me away with how knowledgeable the staff was of the menu and how able they were to accommodate these unfortunate restrictions. Every time I go, it is a good time, great food, and exceptional cocktails. Free parking.
