In peak hours there’s always a line and the smoky smell of grilled chicken is soooo delicious and irresistible. The first time we just ate the chicken as is. The first day the chicken is extremely moist and tender. The chicken breast that froze overnight became quite tough. For our second purchase, we shredded all the chicken breast and mix with the tomato salsa, julienned red onion, bell peppers, green apples and beet. The various vegetables elevated the chicken breast. So delicious. I’m sure the chicken thighs we have for tomorrow would be equally juicy and delicious as for the first time. Very reasonable price for a relatively healthy meal.

This is our regular breakfast when visiting Playa del Carmen. Their chicken is just the best I’ve had. They offer a whole chicken with a side of rice, pickled red onions and red salsa ($200 pesos mx/ $11 US) We also order a baked potato with extra gravy ($35 plus $10 pesos mx/ $2.50 US).
It’s so delicious that we take 2 chickens to go with us when flying home to Cali. Definitely give it a try.

Best grilled chicken I’ve had in a while. You get a half chicken with sides for 120 pesos and we’re FULL. Every table has this incredible green lime habanero juice for the chicken and it is to die for (if you like spicy). They also have this kind of blended tomato on the side f the rice, do not skip it, it’s delicious! The horchata is also great.
They have a bathroom in the back and open kitch in front grilling the chicken. Bring cash & an empty stomach!

I am so grateful that i stumbled upon this restaurant! The chicken here was delicious, it was perfectly seasoned, not too salty, just perfect. It was tender and not dry, the portions were very generous for the price and all the condiments that came with the chicken made it a 10/10 meal. They have a wash basin so you can wash your hands before and after the meal. The aqua de jamaica was perfect with the meal. Our order was taking seconds upon seating, and the food came in under a minute. Fastest service i’ve had yet. I highly, highly recommend that you give this rosteria a try, i bet you will come twice!

Great experience and fantastic chicken. The place is a no frills joint that does chicken and they do it well at an amazing price. We had the 1/2 chicken dinner and it was more than enough for the 2 of us and for 90 pesos one of the best deals in Playa. The service wasn’t the friendliest around.
