We arrived when most people were already watching the show, and decided to order while we were waiting for the headliner to start (we had about 2 hours to wait at that point). The bartender was also serving tables like ours, we were quite patient. Our plates (a few apps and a fried chicken sandwich) took nearly an hour to come out and arrived separately, about 15 minutes apart, appetizers and meal arriving all at once. it’s not clear if the server had not put the order in, or the kitchen messes up, but either way it was an insanely long wait for mediocre food.
The potachos were fine. They arrived on the cold side but tasted OK, though we were struggling to find where all the cheese sauce was hidden. The fried pickles might have been the highlight of the meal, and they were also just fine- not the best, not the worst, nothing to write home about. The chicken quesadilla tasted OK, but we had to pack it up to bring home bc it arrived when we needed to go into the show. It was pretty decent reheating it at home in an air fryer. I didn’t try the chicken sandwich but when I asked my friend about it she said the roll was cold (and very much NOT a potato roll) and the sandwich “tasted like wet” but had little to no flavor or seasoning.
Maybe this was an off night. Maybe this is just how food is here. We didn’t bother talking to management. The server was clearly slammed, but it was very disappointing that she hadn’t checked on our food arriving to us for nearly an hour before promising it was on its way out. As often as I pass this place, I’m still not sure I’d give it another go.
Cons: feels a bit out in the middle of nowhere, so nothing else around to go to nearby. But I kind of like that . They ran out of food/ appetizers pretty quick though out night , so order early. They probably didn’t prep well enough for that night. Bathrooms are typical bar condition bathrooms. I don’t mind table top seating but may not be for everyone. The one bathroom near the main bar is single use , so could get a line built up. Use the other one in the second room if so. Don’t expect food to come out quick, can take awhile even when ordering early.
All and all I would still recommend coming here for a bar / concert experience. It was my first for a small venue and liked it. I even drove up 1 and half hour up to see them from South Jersey area. I left pix to check out.
I’m Beef and that’s where I was.
We had the pizza and it was some of the most amazing tasting pizza I’ve had in a long time. It must be fire/oven roasted because the dough had an incredible smoke flavor. If your into spicy then the Buffalo wing sauce with fresh mozzarella. MESSER approved!!
