Post-theater today we went to Arthouse that took over Stolp Island restaurant. It was our 1st time dining here. Our server was Kristen, who was attentive and personable. She provided very good service. Also the other staff who filled our water glasses and took away empty plates provided good service, too.
We ordered cocktails and they were very good. Hubby had an old-fashioned and I had the clover club. Mine was pretty in pink! Hubs and I shared half dozen char-broiled oysters to start. Delicious flavor although a couple were the size of a dime where other oysters filled the shell. They weren’t consistent. We also shared the fried pickles. These were amazing and a generous portion. They were light and airy, the best I’ve ever had.
For dinner, my husband had the steakhouse burger, with mushrooms and hollandaise. It was cooked to the perfect medium rare. I had the lobster toast. The lobster was served on focaccia with avocado, tomato and an aïoli. This sandwich had too much bread for the skimpy lobster provided. Disappointing.
The restaurant itself has a nice bar area and a dining room with both high tops and low top tables. We sat at an extremely small table for two that we had to keep juggling our dishes because things would not fit on the table. For example, two appetizers, two plates, water glasses and cocktail glasses just didn’t fit on the table. Next time I’d ask for a four top. It was an inconvenience throughout our meal.
With a couple missteps, I do have to say I would definitely go back to this restaurant because there’s a lot on the menu I want to explore, plus it’s right next-door to the theater so it’s the perfect location.

Found this place on Google maps as we were driving to Chicago and decided to make a dinner stop. I’m so glad we did! The chargrilled oysters were a delicious reminder of our hometown. The Mozzarella sticks & fried pickles were the perfectly cooked (cheese & pickles all still inside; no just breading bites). The pub burger was amazing as well! You can’t go wrong with a stop here! Also, our waitress, Maia, was fantastic!

Glad we stumbled upon this unique spot right in the heart of downtown Aurora. We wanted to order 1 of everything from the menu but went with charbroiled oysters and the nachos both of which were delicious. Great drink selection as well.

BURGERS!!! If you are looking for a cute place to eat and enjoy burgers and cocktails then this is the place. Their burgers, fries and onion rings are delicious! Plus I love how the decor matches every corner.

Found this place looking for somewhere to eat on Valentines day. Nice atmosphere, good food, and good service. Local recommended the fried rice balls, good recommendation. Will possibly return when I’m in the area.

We visited on a Tuesday afternoon, and there was only one server for the entire restaurant. Our server was lovely, but saying ‘Oh, that’s my favorite’ for every dish ordered felt a bit insincere. On the bright side, the bang bang shrimp was fantastic with its crunchy texture and perfect sauce. The hot honey wings were also a hit! The beefy grilled cheese is a must-try for cheese lovers, especially with the caramelized onions. However, I wouldn’t recommend the paradise cocktail (the green one) because the syrup gave it a strong bitter aftertaste that made it hard to finish. Overall, it was a decent first visit. Not worth a long drive, but good for locals.

So on January 1st I had lets say one of the best burgers I’ve had in awhile. Lizzy the bar tender was fantastic and attentive to drinks and food. She was very welcoming to testing the water on drink ideas as well. My wife found herself trying the lobster roll sandwich which she said for her was … alright (she loves her lobster!!) that was alright she just said the lobster may have been over cooked slightly and so kind of lost the delicious juiciness. The drinks were amazing and so were the people and atmosphere. We will be back here to try all the drinks and food options. Make sure to check out my burger video!!! The burger was just mwaaahh!

When this new restaurant opened, it became the talk of the town. Today, we all continue to rave about how great it is. The menu offers a strong selection, and the prices are reasonable. This beautifully designed venue is filled with decor that you might want in your own special room. While the service can be slow when the restaurant is busy, the overall experience is amazing, and there’s plenty of room for improvement. Be sure to try their Arthouse burger—it’s the best dish on the menu!

If 6 stars were possible, they’d have it. Excellent food quality, preparation and selection. Burgers are a specialty – we had the bison burger…melt in your mouth, cooked to perfection. Great service from Hannah at the bar. Highly recommend dining here – if there are shows at the nearby theatre, plan ahead with a reservation.
