Outstanding food and the service felt like true hospitality, which is rare to find anywhere! Our server, Heman was an unbelievably nice guy who struck up conversation with us and then provided recommendations based on what we wanted.

What a great spot. You guys got a new regular!!!

aRoqa New York offers a modern, elevated take on Indian cuisine that feels both refined and exciting. The flavors are bold yet balanced, the presentation is beautiful, and every dish feels thoughtfully crafted. From aromatic curries to perfectly baked naan, the food is rich, comforting, and memorable. Paired with a chic atmosphere and great cocktails, aRoqa is an excellent spot for a stylish night out or a special dinner.

Best decision of the night! We walked by and then paused and walked back to go in. We had a great experience from the moment we walked in until we left. All the options were extremely flavorful and there were multiple options on the menu. Everything we had, had good flavor, but if you’re looking for a higher spice level, you should ask. Everyone is friendly and gave perfect recommendations when asked.

We went to aRoqa with a few friends who were all visiting from various parts of the country. As someone who was born in Delhi and now lives in SF, I am your classic Indian food snob. Let me say, aRoqa did not disappoint. The ambience, the food, the service, and the engagement with Monica (the owner) convince me that this place is among the top NYC indian restaurants. Everything on the menu is prepared with great attention to detail, and the presentation is incredible. The spices were just perfect. The drinks menu was amazing. We had so many things since it was a big group, but the lamb chops, the konkani prawns, chicken tikka masala, and aloo gobhi are to die for! This will be our go-to NYC indian restaurant next time we visit. It should be yours too!

Having been to a few fine dining Indian restaurants in NYC and US as a whole, hands down some of the best food I’ve had in a long-long time!
The mushroom and kataiffi phyllo started is simply mind blowing, continuously teasing and playing through textures and tastes.
The Kadhai paneer- last time I had something so authentic, well spiced was back in Delhi in 2021, before I moved to US.
The okra was my favourite vegetable dish because of the texture the chef managed to achieve.
Both the naan and kulcha were fluffy, incredibly light, well flavoured and with the right amount of butter!
Finally, the desssert- baked gulab jamun crème brûlées- outstanding for the lightness and smoothness of custard, not being overtly sweet and being a great way to end the meal.
Highly recommend and will definitely be back here

Went to celebrate my niece’s Roqa – what an appropriate setting
Hemant & Kanzi welcomed us and made us feel at home
Good ambience
Starters were great
Food was very tasty and portions were large (we packed leftovers in boxes)
Considering the occasion, Hemant arranged non alcoholic drinks for a toast
Topped up the evening with an excellent presentation of the dessert
Highly recommended place

Dining at aRoqa in Chelsea was an absolute pleasure and easily one of the highlights of my trip. We arrived early for dinner and were seated outside, which made for a relaxed and comfortable start to the evening. Since the restaurant was just gearing up for the dinner rush, the service was impeccable warm, attentive, and personal without ever being rushed. It truly set the tone for what turned out to be a remarkable dining experience.

We began with the pani puri, which was not only delicious but also a delightful experience. Served with mint water in a charming little teapot, it was interactive and fun, setting the stage for a meal full of creativity and thoughtfulness. The Char-Grilled Paneer Cheese Tikka followed and was a standout starter, perfectly balanced in flavor and texture, and beautifully presented.

Every dish we tried reflected both care and artistry, with flavors that were bold yet refined. The culinary creativity really shined through with the Baked Gulab Jamun Crème Brûlée, a dessert that flawlessly blended French technique with Indian tradition. It was rich, indulgent, and inventive: a true masterpiece that left us talking about it long after.

While we dined outdoors, a quick look inside revealed a space that was just as impressive, with its elegant and contemporary design adding to the restaurant’s charm.

Overall, aRoqa delivers not just a meal, but a thoughtful experience. With stellar service, inventive dishes, and a stylish setting, it’s an easy 5/5 recommendation.

The service is phenomenal and the food was exceptional! We could not have been more delighted by the diversity of flavors, and it was incredibly fresh. They have a very talented crew in the kitchen.

The bar tender, Hemant, was nothing less than brilliant! He offered a detailed description of their wine menu and created phenomenal non-alcoholic drinks as well.

The ambiance is warm, inviting and they had a great choice of contemporary music. Also, for those who care- it is relatively quiet, which is hard to find in the city.

We plan to return often and are confident you will enjoy it was much as we did.

My girlfriend and I had a great time at aRoqa NYC. From start to finish, the experience was memorable. There was a small mix-up with our reservation at first, but it was handled quickly and seamlessly, and we really appreciated how attentive and accommodating the team was.

The food was excellent — beautifully presented and full of flavor — and the service throughout the night was warm, attentive, and professional. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience.

We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great night out in the city.
