Just landed last week in Austin from California and stumbled upon this hidden gem — and wow, what a find!
The ambiance is something truly special, unlike anything I’ve seen before.
Must try dishes: Pepper chicken fry, Nalla Karam chicken, pain puri , noodles , weekend spl pulao, Butter chicken masala and dhaba style mutton curry.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxed, welcoming place and yummy desi food to unwind.

We recently visited Aroma Desi Outdoor Restaurant, and I must say we were delighted by the setup. The outdoor ambiance is one of the best I’ve seen around Austin – beautifully lit, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged with plenty of room for kids to run around and play. It’s a refreshing find, especially being so close to Hutto!
The food was a mixed experience. We tried a few appetizers – Chili Chicken and Coriander Chicken, which were decent and flavorful. The Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Noodles were just average — a bit too salty and overloaded with vegetables, and both dishes tasted quite similar. However, the real standout was the Apricot Delight dessert — absolutely delicious and a perfect way to end the meal.
Service is where they have some growing to do. The ordering process wasn’t very organized, and we experienced a bit of a wait. That said, they’re new, and it’s understandable. I’m hopeful they’ll streamline things as they settle in.
Pricing felt a bit on the higher side, around $90 for 5-6 items, which is above the usual range for food trucks in the area.
Still, despite the minor setbacks, the overall experience was very positive. The ambiance and family-friendly setting make this a great spot to visit. Highly recommended, especially if you’re looking for a place where kids can enjoy while you savor some Indian food flavors.

We spent a perfect Sunday evening at Aroma Desi outdoor restaurant. They have a great outdoor space with a ton of cover seating in pergolas. They had real nice seating, outdoor lights and rocking horses for kids to play. Pet friendly place with turf grass.
Their food was really good. We loved their garlic buttered chicken, mutton pulao, masala dosa (very authentic) and chicken burger with is delicious sauce and onions. The food was mild-medium and the kids loved it all.
Highly recommend the place and food.

Just stumbled upon this amazing Indian outdoor restaurant the other day, and I had to share! The food was absolutely delicious; I seriously couldn’t get enough of the butter chicken and chicken burger. Plus, the ambiance was so pleasant with fairy lights and comfortable seating arrangements. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxed evening with friends or family. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a good time and some tasty food!

fried rice was not fresh , it seemed like they just heated and gave ! and coriander chicken was more lemony and tasted like rubber .

Manchuriya fried rice came with a bowl of peas. , I had to dig jn for rice . just 3 manchuriya balls.
Food also came late ! Just coriander paste mixed with fried chicken . disappointed !
Also tried Nalla karam gobi , it honestly tasted like fried gobi with idly karam .
this is not a targeted or misleading review. I spent money and expect a good food.

Loved the food here! The outdoor seating is super inviting and very kid-friendly, making it a great spot for families. I tried the Chicken Pulav – it was absolutely delicious. The Nalla Karam Chicken is a must-try — packed with flavor and perfectly spiced!

I’m sorry, but this isn’t it. I can tell that this establishment is trying to position itself in a unique league with a big well lit outdoor seating area, cabanas to dine in etc.
Unfortunately, they just flat out disappointed on the food – taste AND quantity. Portions sizes on the chaats were an absolute joke. I’ve never seen chaats made without chutneys before, in any part of India but in Round Rock, you get that experience thanks to Aroma. The noodles we ordered was oily and bland.
I’m definitely not coming back here unless something drastic changes about the food. You can have the best food truck ambiance out there with the turf and toys for kids and cabanas for seating but the food is definitely not up to the mark. Save your money and try one of the neighboring establishments!

First time visiting this place. Very nice setup for outdoor eating. Dosa and idly were good, may need to increase sambhar quantity. We order dhahi puri but by the time we got it to table it became very soft. Overall good place to visit
