Usually I find myself thinking at other places that the meat was good but the sides lacked, or vice versa but not here! Everything was delicious and the sauces too, and I’m definitely a sauce gal. Also, I always steer away from Pina Coladas because they’re usually all sugar but I had one there for the first time since 2012 and it was fantastic. Just an all around good time, good food, and good people!
Bit of a line at the counter but it moved quickly. Shared a platter between two of us and everything on it was absolutely delicious.
Brisket was top notch. Pork, beef cheek, sausage, again all top notch. The sides game is on point too-
We happened to be travelling through the area and drove by this place, but now we know it’s there will likely be travelling from Melbourne to enjoy again. Worth a trip.
The pulled pork and brisket were my favourites; both were full of flavour and very well cooked. A great spot if you enjoy real barbecue.
Food is quick, prices good and proportioned to prices, seatings are well spaced.
We ordered black angus brisket and sausage which came with 2 sides of onion and pickles and a slice of bread. Food prepared in front of you. Food and drinks section so not too long a wait.
They cook their barbecue on site. Meat is just tender and well seasoned and accompanied by dipping sauces.
Oh, they also have a complementary tortillas and sauce, not sure if they do this often but a good way to entice people.
Wheelchair and pram friendly.
The food was too notch. Obviously, that’s the most important thing and they delivered in ♠️. I had the brisket first, as always, and it rocked. Next, I devoured the beef cheek, my second favourite cut. Finally, I attacked, but was too full to finish the sausages, pulled pork, and the pinto beans. What a meal.
The staff surprised me. The design of the restaurant forces you to interact with six staff members. The reception, the server who seats you, the meat guy, the sides person, the money collector, and finally the bar tender. Every single one of them was as friendly as an old pal. Way to make someone feel at home.
Finally, the restaurant itself was decked out in a traditional style just like in Austin, Texas. The tables were huge (a bit too big to share a platter), the heaters were radiating, the live music was engaging. The addition of a plane flying through the wall was an unexpected bonus.
Guys, you have a fan for life.
