Came here a few times over the years and was never disappointed. It’s about 40 minutes away but worth the drive. It’s been there over 100 years so they must be doing something right. The dinning room is relatively small but it works. The service is great and the food is very good. Try not to carve your initials in the wooden booths. There’s not much space left anyway. LOL

I have driven by this place FOR YEARS. Finally stopped this weekend on one of the coldest days in years. It was warm and cozy especially with the fireplace going. The service was great from the host to the server. And the burgers were great. All three of us had burgers and we all cleared our plates.This might be a new go to spot after all these years.

Called about their lobster roll which is advertised on their sign.
I asked if it was a whole lobster in a roll to which they said no.
They informed me it’s a mixture of mayo and lobster with some veggies, I asked them if the mixture is mostly filler or mostly chunk lobster meat and they told me it’s almost entirely made of chunk lobster meat.
When I opened my lobster roll I was immediately disappointed. This absolutely not chunk lobster meat (not a single chunk present).
It is largely made up of potato chunks (which I’m assuming are there to imitate chunks of lobster) and cucumber chunks.
The lobster meat it has is shredded lobster meat, and low quality shredded lobster meat for that matter.
Waste of 21$

steer clear if you have an empty stomach. the waitress was nice. my burger came back super pink and was bleeding after i told the waiter i wanted medium. i got another burger after sending the original one back and that one wasn’t too good either. atmosphere was very loud, though that is a personal opinion since i don’t like loud places. there was way too many kids there for this time of night; isn’t it their bedtime??? i STILL feel sick from the food and it’s been an hour.

When a shore bar can hold its own during the off season that’s about all you need to know. On a recent cold, rainy Saturday night there was about a 20 minute wait for a table…so good for them. So a quick visit to the knowledgeable and efficient bartender landed a round of tasty drinks. Our dinner was three burgers and a salmon special. All were as promised pub fare with a shout out to the special. Server was friendly and attentive. The only reason it’s not 5 star is its not a 5 star place…its a well worn well loved shore pub that’s been here forever…and that’s what makes it great.

Been going to the Ark for many years and this is the worst food I can remember having here or anywhere for that matter. The place is under new management and I’m assuming new food preparation personnel too because as I stated earlier it was honestly inedible! We sipped our drinks and left napkin covered entire plates of food to be taken away. New owners please take notice because at the fairly high priced menu and very poorly presented non edible dishes we received it won’t be long before you destroy this classic destination!

I’ve been coming here since the 80s. Always been good. Until this visit. I ordered shrimp scampi. Came out with no garlic at all. Pasta tasted like lemon juice and was overcooked. Horrible! The server made an excuse that people complained that they had too much garlic so they backed off on it. Seriously, if you don’t like heavy garlic, don’t order scampi. Had drunken clams which were ok. The broth was a little weak but I enjoyed the clams. Service was sketchy as usual. Was a Monday night and the place was fairly empty. Servers gathered at a table hanging out instead of checking on the tables they had. Did not stay as our visit was lacking.

Well, I have to agree with the rest.. the port wine cheese burger is unbelievable. It’s so good I went out of my way to get it a second time. Fries are good, and they actually have a very good French onion soup… and im very very critical and picky when it comes to French onion soup
