We’ve tried this resto during the tail end of the pandemic and was amazed by the aesthetics of the place and the plating but found the food lacking in quantity and quality. We just tried it again this week thinking we’d give it another shot because of all the good reviews we’ve seen and we were very pleasantly surprised. The service and atmosphere is still amazing but the food quality improved 100% and the quantity was so huge we can share between 2-3 people. I was most impressed with the bibimbap as it came with authentic tasting namul and even had extra crushed sesame as well as a bottle of gochujang so you can decide how much you want to use. The galbi was marinated perfectly and the chicken terriyaki wasn’t too sweet. Though i’ve had better karaage and takoyaki, all the apps including the sushi rolls were very good.

A lot of people hyped this up so my boyfriend and I went to go check it out. The sushi itself was good and our server was super nice even though it was crazy busy in there! The presentation of the sushi was very pretty, I loved it. The only thing that I noticed as I was eating it, is that there is more rice than fish! I wish there was more fish on top of the rice otherwise I’d give this place a 5/5.

It was our first time here tonight, and the food here is absolutely magnificent. The best Japanese fried chicken I’ve ever tasted, and the galbi was delicious as well. The atmosphere is beautiful, and though we had to sit at the sushi bar, it was very comfortable!
My only real complaint, though, is that one of the staff members who served us was very rude at the end of our meal. We left a cash tip in one of the jars instead of a tip through the debit machine when we paid, and when she saw that we didn’t tip on the machine, her attitude completely changed towards us. She didn’t say another word to us, grabbed the machine from the table, and walked off with a glare. When she returned with our to-go order, she placed it onto the table quite harshly and walked off in the other direction without saying anything at all and a disgruntled look on her face. My friend and I were shocked at how harsh her demeanor was, and though we could understand where she was coming from, it made us feel very unwelcome and like we shouldn’t go back again.

UPDATE 3 months later giving it another try: Accidentally brought in (NO drinking from) a water bottle as we came from the gym. The server said we couldn’t have outside food, which we politely said we just accidentally brought it in and will put it on the side – THE SERVER THEN PROCEEDED TO ROLL HIS EYES in our response. What type of attitude am I PAYING to get at this place!??????? Granted the other (older, no glasses) server was quite nice!

What turned me right off was when we sat down, the first page of the menu sitting on top indicates 90 minute dining time (I understand when it is busy and such, but my friends and I arrived after 1:30pm – and there were barely anyone there, many empty tables) I kindly asked if the 90 minutes dining time started when our food arrived or when we sat down (was told when we sat down) but when our appetizer of calamari arrived, we didn’t even have utensils! And the serving size of the tempura calamari was shameful for $11.50! (Picture in comparison to an iPhone attached). The tempura calamari was also SPICY! Definitely not indicated on the menu and what an odd flavor for tempura’s batter. As we were leaving I saw the big sign regarding 90 minutes at the very front beside the doors, but it was in a position you would only notice when leaving, imho. (Picture attached). The food was not as good and fresh as it was in the past, I’d say quality is almost close to going to one of the sushi buffet places in the city. The atmosphere was strange – dusty, with Halloween and Christmas decorations. It didn’t bother me, but since this review asks about atmosphere, I’d say it was strange, and honestly dusty and not as clean as I recall from past visits

Great stop ! So glad they replicated their Yorkton locations menu and food for Regina. Great stop. Massive sushi rolls. Well worth going !

Food was delicious and came out quickly. The yam tempura and rolls were huge! FYI they only take reservations via phone and apparently there is a fake/scam website out there.

Sashimi was fresh for Regina. I phoned a head for one and wanted to reserve a table. They didn’t reserve for one with a disability. But assured me they’d have a table. I showed up and had to sit at the sushi bar. It was an alright night. Spent over $100.00 just by myself.
