Area Coffee quickly became one of my favorite local spots. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and the cozy furniture makes it feel like visiting a relative’s home. The coffee is delicious, the staff is incredibly friendly, and I was so sad to move away that I bought a mug to remind me of this special place each morning when I make my coffee at home. This place is a gem for those who are looking to dive a bit deeper in their faith and join their Bible studies. It’s so rare to find a place that serves not just delicious goodies, but also spiritual inspiration.

I’ve only been once, when my friends introduced me to it and we went in the early morning. Quiet location if you wanna go to just hang out, many different options for food and drink, when i went I got a horchata and it tasted amazing! Service was quick and without problems and the place was well decorated and very welcoming! I’d definitely go again and hope to soon.

I stopped here since it was the closest to me that had caffiene, and I do NOT regret it. The atmosphere is great, they do open mic here. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, the staff was very kind and helpful since it was my first time in, and my order was done pretty quickly. I got a banana pecan muffin and oh my god was it delicious. It was huge and 100% worth the price. Moist and mouth watering. Speaking of the muffins, they have quite a few to choose from so I’m sure there’s a flavor for everyone- unless you don’t like muffins

Great coffee, great people, low key vibe. I buy beans here and often buy a coffee to go at the same time. I usually see groups of friends and study groups hanging out here.

Great coffee shop to meet up with friends with or without kids. This neighborhood coffee shop has the most outdoor seating I’ve ever seen for a coffee shop. During COVID, the village of Mundelein closed a part of the street right in front of this place for outdoor seating and has kept it closed since. The village also opened a little park right next door with play elements for little kids alongside a beautiful mural. Kitty corner is a village parking lot. There is a stage in the street for occasional entertainment. Inside, they offer a large selection of baked goods from several locally respected bakeries as well as occasional ice cream (looked like they had capacity for 6-8 flavors to hand scoop).

AREA Coffee was a unique coffee shop to visit! I loved the environment and the fact that it has instruments inside. If you’re a musician and you like coffee, this is the place to come! it also has an outdoor patio if you wanna sit outisde with friends. The coffee was tasty and delicious I always order my go to order⬇️

I stopped in today and it was the highlight of my day. The beans they had smelled so good that I couldn’t pick just one, and end up leaving with two bags. The service was exceptional – the team there takes great care to make sure your time there is a delight. A gem of a coffee shop, and a place I will be sure to go out of my way to visit again soon.

We have been coming here for a few years, and have always received great customer service, but today I would love to give a 10 star review to Sam. He has always treated us with such kindness and respect. We can tell he really loves his job. It shows in his interactions with customers. We so enjoy our conversations with Sam when we come in. Delicious Peppermint Mocha Latte and super cute and sweet “Ugly Sweater” cookie. Service is prompt and polite. Bathroom is tiny but clean. Shop is currently filled with cute decorations and holiday music. Looking forward to coming again, especially to enjoy outdoor seating in Spring.
