The highlight was Vida Mezcal – absolutely amazing! The drinks were top-notch and crafted with real care. If the service had matched the quality of the cocktails, this could’ve been a great experience.
Unfortunately, the service from Ximena really brought things down. It felt like she didn’t want to be there — slow, inattentive, and lacking basic courtesy. It’s hard to enjoy such a vibrant place when the energy at the table is off.
On the food side, the sushi was solid, and overall, the dishes were above average – but nothing stood out quite like the Mezcal.
Aquifer 65 has potential, especially with a bar like that set against an awesome Lobby with views of resort. Just hope the service improves to match it.

Worst service! We visited the Aquifer 65 lobby lounge at JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa at around 10:50pm. We sat at the table and tried to order a cocktail with 3 servers. Finally after we ordered with one of the server, another server came by and asked us to order at the bar since he said the table service has ended. However, there was still table service for few tables around us 10min after that!

1. Non-alcoholic blueberry spritz – yummy!
2. Salmon Nigiri – was delish
3. Ahi tuna sashimi – wasn’t great, ended up leaving half. Do not recommend it
4. Spicy tuna roll with Siracha – really spicy

Amazing staff and beautiful space, but horrible food. All the restaurants at this hotel are so bad. Decent cocktails. They need a complete revamp of their restaurants/kitchens.

I was charged $91 for two sushi roles and a drink. I was the only one at the sushi bar. And I sat down and waited awhile to be served now I understand there is an other people but some sits down you down wait a whole 20 min to anyway to take your order. Stopped here for snacks before a late dinner reservation at Rockwood Grill. This was the best food during our stay at the JW Marriott.
There’s live entertainment in the afternoon/evening. You just sit down at the table of your choosing and a server comes and greets you. If you order a cocktail, they come strong so you get your money’s worth.
My husband got the JW Cadillac margarita and he loved it. The charcuterie board was perfect to share. The seaweed salad was light and refreshing. And the scallop roll was a satisfying roll. Will come back.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent visit to this restaurant bar was a letdown. The service was painfully slow from the moment I walked in. It took ages to get anyone’s attention, and when my food finally arrived, it wasn’t even what I ordered. Trying to get it corrected felt like an even bigger chore. The only saving grace of the night was Anna, the bartender she was friendly, attentive, and clearly the only one who seemed to care about the customers. Unfortunately, one good staff member isn’t enough to make up for an otherwise frustrating experience. I won’t be coming back. Currently writing this from the toilet experiencing the wrong explosions and liquids on 4th of July.

We got the buffalo wings and French fries! They were delicious! I highly recommend them and would order them again! It’s a nice area to enjoy the game and appetizer food. It gets kinda loud and crowded but we were able to enjoy their meal. Sadly they only have Pepsi products here.
