Our server Amanda was very nice and attentive. I wish I could say it was the greatest meal I’ve ever had but it really wasn’t. My favorite part of it all was the scalloped potatoes we got for our baby and the Bonanza wine which was excellent. Stuffed peppers were a good appetizer I recommend. My husband got the chicken Parm and I got the crab “stuffed” fillet. I say “stuffed” because it was not, they should call it fillet with a few pieces of crab on top and the worst part was that it was topped with a sauce made with blue cheese. They should really tell you this because I don’t like blue cheese so that completely ruined it for me. The filet was a good cut but I honestly wouldn’t pay what I did for it. I ended up paying $69 for a tiny crab topped fillet drenched with blue cheese and of course, I was up charged for getting French onion soup as my side so my meal alone was $85 including my glass of wine- not worth it. My husband cut me some slack since it was my first time ordering something without the price on it but since the ribeye was $40 I had no idea a smaller piece of meat would be that much more but I was wrong. I really wish I could have enjoyed it more but in my opinion blue cheese is very over powering and that’s all I taste if it’s in anything. I don’t think blue cheese is the most popular thing so not sure why they wouldn’t tell you considering how good the service is. It is not a place I would go back to, I can literally go anywhere else and get a good fillet with wine and potatoes and not pay almost $100 per person. We live in Colorado now and those prices are something I expect here but not over there, if they are trying to blame the crab it was not even an oz of crab on top so I don’t know what holy cows they are getting this meat from but it’s not right in my opinion. Regardless, we wanted to try this place and we did and now have something we laugh about and learned my lesson about ordering things without a price on it.
The prices are about 33% HIGHER at restaurant than the prices listed on line!
Luckily the bartender saw we were contemplating leaving, so he took 20% off the bill.
Food was good but definitely too high for the quality.
To the owners, Very disappointed you have all the time in the world and you can’t update your on-line prices. Thank your bartender…
I used to work here under the original owners. Loved it! The food used to be amazing and the service was even better!
Tonight, we made reservations to spend my mother’s birthday with them. It was over an hour and 20 mins into our wait for our food before I finally went to speak with a manager to find out what was happening. Turns out, it was one of the owners. As I was explaining the long wait and asking for an update, a gentlemen at the bar scuffed and rolled his eyes. I found out a few minutes later that this was the other owner, the husband of the person I was speaking to. After I food arrived, three out of 4 plates were practically inedible. After that long wait and just the overall experience, we opted to return our food and cut our losses and head out. The female owner did come by and let us know they took care of the bill, which we appreciated given the circumstances. As we walked outside, the male owner was driving by. He stared hard at us and then peeled around the corner while running that stop sign. I was annoyed so I did give him the finger. He put his truck in reverse and came right back asking what was the problem. We explained the whole evening followed by his reckless driving. He then whipped away. His wife then came outside and started hollering about how we needed to leave. A few seconds later, the husband came whipping around the corner in his truck and parked and came face to face yelling and screaming with my husband. His wife ended up yelling to him “grow up!” While pulling him away.
This was an absolute nightmare and is a very bad look for an establishment with such a great reputation from years passed. It’s been a staple of this city for years and years and these new owners have destroyed the place, from quality of food all the way to just plane decency.
If I could give zero stars, I would.
