I have been to multiple pizza and pasta places and was excited to try this one out. I came in with a friend on February 14th during lunch time, and the waiter let us know we only had one hour to eat because reservations were about to come in, which we understood. We ordered a pizza and pasta. Both underwhelming. The pizza I couldn’t even cut with a fork, because it was falling apart. The pasta was bland, no real flavor. To top it off as soon as we looked like we were done they immediately brought us the check, 30 min since we got in. Again, we understood the reservations that were about to come in, but they didn’t even let us put the fork down. I do have to say the place is beautiful. Still, I wouldn’t be back, the price is not the best for the quality of food or service.

The food is truly amazing. I’ve eaten at a lot of establishments and I have to give this place a 10 out of 10 no exaggerations. The food is to die for some of the most authentic pizza you will have closest to being in Italy.

Great place, always have a good time here. Pizza to die for; cacio e pepe with meatballs is the killer combo. Also, their coffee is incredible.

Our favorite wood oven pizza place in Hoboken even though they are more than just their pizza. Very cozy Italian restaurant with great ambiance. Our favorite go to spot for dates and friend meet ups. Menu is concise and everything we’ve ordered is high quality because of it. Make sure to reserve in well in advanced because getting a table last min is almost impossible

Apulia – Hoboken, NJ
⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food:

Pappardelle Bolognese
• Pasta was cooked al dente, just how I like it.
• The bolognese had decent flavor, but nothing that stood out.
• Portion size was on the smaller side — not worth the price in my opinion.

Genovese Pizza
• Flavor combo was great — the ricotta and basil pesto worked really well with the Calabrian soppressata and red onion.
• That said, the pizza was quite thin and very oily.
• It’s also one of the more expensive pizzas I’ve had in Hoboken, and the quality didn’t fully justify the cost.

I came here with Jonathan and my cousins after a fun Tipsy Tie Dye class. We had a reservation, but when we arrived, there was no clear host stand and the whole entryway was chaotic. We were told to wait up front, but other groups who arrived after us got seated before we did — the organization was lacking. As for the food, it wasn’t bad, but it didn’t blow me away. The pasta was small for what you pay, and the pizza, while flavorful, was too oily and thin for my taste. With so many great spots in Hoboken, I don’t see myself returning here — especially at this price point.

Just walked in to Apulia for our first meal of the new year. Cozy wonderful place. Very warm welcoming staff. The pizza oven welcomes you as you walk in with its warm fire beckoning.
We were offered a two seater and although I understand the four seaters are saved for more people we had a colleague who would join later.
We asked for the four seater in the corner. ( there were more four seaters open. ) the staff then very curtly said “No you can pick this or that” if there was a huge crowd or people waiting Or even lunch or dinner time I could understand. But there were many open tables and it was 3PM. I doubt we would have been an inconvenience. So we made a decision and decided not to give our business here when they are so rigid with the seating I doubt they will have any flexibility to produce good food or overall experience.
It does however look like it might be a wonderful place and should they re assess their “couldn’t care less” attitude. I do look forward to trying their meal someday given a better ability to experience it in more comfort.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing! Definitely coming back to try more dishes. We had two pizzas, and they were incredible—the Bufalina mozzarella was sooo good! The D.O.P. was also tasty, though a bit salty for my preference. Overall, everything was fresh and delicious!

I went to Apulia for a girls dinner the first time and on a date the second time. It’s a lovely Italian restaurant with a cozy, intimate setting that instantly makes you feel at home.

The space is tight, but in a way that feels warm and inviting—perfect for smaller groups, meet-ups or a relaxed/ romantic date night.

The pasta my friend ordered was delicious, comforting and authentic. The pizzas were equally impressive and super light with a crisp, flavorful crust and well-thought toppings!

My experience was amazing also because of the staff. Everyone is incredibly kind and attentive. The bartenders add a fun and lively energy to the place—very chatty and personable. Their friendliness makes the whole dining experience feel even more fun.

Without question, my favorite Italian restaurant. Pizza is light, delicious, and beautiful. Pasta is fresh, delicate, and flavorful. The ambiance is welcoming and cozy while the service is always attentive and kind. The bar is spectacular – you will find yourself happily posted up for hours with more than one fantastic cocktail in great company from the bartenders and fellow guests. Apulia is a special place.

A few of my favorites: Cacio E Pepe pasta, Lemon Basil Pesto pasta, Caprina pizza, and Diavola pizza. Don’t forget about the meatballs! End with a Nutella Calzone and Cappuccino and you’ll be happier than ever.

Delicious. The pizza came out super fast. On par with NYC joints. Got the bolognese which was also solid. We had a very friendly and attentive server.
