Decided to try Hurricanes’s new Applebees. Loved the local vibes atmosphere with the town history and supporting Hurricane High. We came on a slow Sunday afternoon for a late last much/ early dinner. Staff was decent. Waitress was a little slow on drinks, taking our order and checking in but not bad. Food was pretty good as well. Plan on coming again

Update: general manager made it right. We were so excited to finally have something new in hurricane and was very disappointed. What a horrible experience. We got seated very quickly but it was 20 minutes until anyone even came up to us to get drinks. After that it was another 40 minutes to get our food. I got a drink and our server didn’t ask if I wanted another one thru the whole experience . She also took my wife’s ranch dip as she was eating? That one threw us off lol fries were bland . We also got an onion ring appetizer and it was anything but appetizing.

Went there for the first time this evening and it was not great, unfortunately.
When being seated my husband asked for a booth instead of a table because I am currently 8 months pregnant and super uncomfortable in a chair. Iykyk. When asked, the host threw his hands up like “idk what you want me to do” this is what we have and so we said it’s fine. Kind of annoying but whatever.
After ordering our food, the server promptly brought out our appetizer, Great, super awesome, but then waiting for the entrees took an hour after that. Super not great. The food was dry and not fresh tasting. My daughter’s food was visibly old looking and had been overcooked.
Husband ordered a burger the came cold, overcooked, and he thought he had bit into the wood skewer that was holding the burger together, but alas, just insanely overcooked bacon that was hard enough to break your teeth on.
I was really excited to give this establishment a chance, being it’s one of the only bigger restaurants in town and it was disappointing to say the least. I will say the waitress was incredibly nice, but that was the only pleasant experience we had.

Misty was absolutely incredible! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. She was attentive without being overbearing, kept our drinks filled, and made sure everything was perfect. She was fast, friendly, and on top of everything the entire time. Our food came out perfectly, our drinks were never empty, and she made the whole experience fun. Misty went above and beyond for us tonight. She anticipated what we needed before we even asked and handled everything with such professionalism and warmth. It’s rare to find service this good. She truly made our night special, and we are so grateful for her. Five stars isn’t enough!
