Our server was outstanding. Food was decent, but we were exceptionally disappointed with the cook swearing at servers and being an overall jerk to the servers. Honestly, the management needs to get this under control. We would have walked out had we not been so impressed by our server.

Place was completely empty when we arrived but we were seated at a dirty table. Had to ask to clean. Our knives and forks were dirty. The only time I saw the waiter was when he brought the food and then the check. Never asked if we needed anything. We were thinking of desert because this was a celebration lunch but he never asked as he silently slid the check on the table. I had to find him to pay. A couple was seated next to us and mozzarella sticks from the sampler appetizer was gone so they were told could not make and no substitutes. Couple wanted to know why the couldn’t get cheese curd bites instead. When their waitress asked the cook, we all heard him yell, “it’s a corporate thing!” That same waitress wasn’t much better than ours. She said she was new, but obviously has plenty of time to learn the menu seeing how NOT busy they are. She asked the customer to repeat and spell the name of the beer she asked for because she has never heard of it. Later she only asked the gentleman if he wanted another beer not the lady. I heard the lady comment to him about it. My point is, service from the cook and both wait staff was extremely poor. My food didn’t come when my daughter’s did. Took about ten more minutes. Our fries were almost burnt with way too much salt and pepper. The other couple commented on it also. My burger was well done when asked for medium. The pretzel sticks were almost burnt and the cheese dip already had a layer of skin on top. I paid $50 for a sh*t when I was taking my daughter out to celebrate. Just not cool. I would give no stars if I could.

We took our 2 grandchildren out for dinner the dinner was terrible. I ordered fish-and-chips the fish wasn’t cooked the batter inside was still raw, fries were cold . Granddaughter ordered a cheese burger and the patty only covered one half of the bun, not sure what they did with the rest of it. It looked like someone broke it in 2 and just place half if it on her bun. Worst meal ever.

Problems with the kitchen staff at shift change in Paola, KS led to an inordinately long wait for food, and the appetizers came with the food, not before. We were a party of eight, with four children and one special needs child. Waitress was WONDERFUL! Kitchen staff needs to get their act together, and quick!

I’ve never left a bad review that I can think of. But in this case at Applebees I was let down. Our nachos chips were burnt when they came out and so were the Boneless Wings. The quesadillas were good but the portion size was very small for the price. I’ve attached photos before we tried to eat. We went ahead and ate because we don’t like to complain, but I would just like to help others.

Ordered a 12 oz ribeye steak that was maybe a 1/4 inch thick worst steak I’ve had paid $26 for. spent $130.00 and we will never go back music way to loud and definitely reflects the help they have.
