Update: tried here a 2nd time, no draft beer still. Restaurant empty and needs a makeover. Our waitress was accommodating tho.

No wait to be seated. Service was prompt. I like that Mike is attentive but not overly attentive. Our food was hot and fresh. The manager, Trinton, stopped by to check on us. Dessert was OUTSTANDING . Affordable and really good! The only complaint I have is I stuffed myself miserable!

We visited on a Sunday evening, staying overnight in Springfield on our way to Florida. I appreciate the Applebee’s franchise when traveling. Still, the experience falls on the local management team and crew. The menu and prices are a good value. There seemed to be plenty of staff working, however service was slow and gloomy. I am 63 and my husband is 70. We had to show ID to order alcohol drinks. Good grief. We sat at the bar to dine. The phone rang numerous times and went unanswered. Like, an employee literally ignored it time and time again. Unacceptable…

Used to be good here but last visit was not good. Went for lunch on Sunday. Parking lot was almost empty which seemed strange. People at 5 or 6 tables. Nothing we ordered was like it used to be. The ribs were on flat bones and the meat wouldn’t come off. Rest of the food was just plain. Won’t be going back to this location unless it gets better again. Also noticed price increase. Everything almost $20.

Very good food. Went on a Sunday around noon. Wasn’t busy and service was excellent! 4 of us ate and it was reasonably priced. $89 for 4 entrees , 2 appetizers and a combo appetizer tray.

First time visiting. We entered and there was no host or sign telling us to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. We waited. A waitress told us someone would be coming. She had to find a table to clean. We ordered immediately and she didn’t write the order down. We waited, and waited and waited for our food. When it came my husband was given the wrong food, the chicken and burger wasn’t hot. We asked 2 people for ketchup and they both forgot it. We grabbed some off another table. We ordered our 2nd round of chicken and it took forever. We never got drink refills. We decided to just take our 2nd round (of all u can eat.) I was only given this much chicken the 2nd time. I just left the fries. We had to hunt down our waitress only to be told we had to wait for our ticket to pay. Then we waited and waited. My husband asked for a manager and he didn’t come around. He had to go find him. The whole process was long and annoying. Hope I don’t get sick from their food.

Wish I had noticed the sign that said under New Management before I went in. I ordered a half rack of ribs with fries. I got four riblets. My friend ordered the chicken and shrimp dish and got a piece of chicken with four small shrimp on top and a couple of token mushrooms and green beans. The food was just okay in taste. Nothing special. But the total for the two meals with iced tea was $50 before tip. I’m sorry, that is not a $50 meal. Service was a bit slow but I usually take that into account when things are busy. There was apparently an appetizer special of which we were not informed. The table next to us was informed of it and they did order it. I probably would have ordered it myself had I known it was available. All in all a disappointing experience.
