The food tends to differ from time to time. Sometimes the mushrooms and onions are more seasoned and better cooked than other times. The sweet Asian chili wings were awesome. Bourbon street steak is a must. Asked for well cooked veggies and a medium rare steak.

When we came in, they took down my name and phone number and told me they would text me when our table was ready. I received a confirmation text and we walked around the mall for twenty minutes until we got the text that our table was available. We ordered off the 2 for $24 menu and ended up with chicken and salmon. The food was fine for the most part but I found the salmon to be very oily which made it harder to eat. The mashed potatoes were excellent. The chips and spinach artichoke dip was good but there was an odd taste to the salsa I couldn’t place to a particular flavor.

Kayla and Kyle are two of the best wait staff people we’ve ever known. We come to the Empire Mall Applebee’s often because of these two employees. We sit up to the Rail and the service is always wonderful.

We waited for over 30 min, which I am guessing was from being low on staff, as over half the place was empty. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The lady running food out was not. I kindly told her that my order was wrong and she argued with me ans eventually huffed and rolled her eyes and grabbed my plate to have it fixed. My daughter in law ordered a Ribeye medium well and it was very rare. She told our waitress who apologized and took it back. A man in a polo, whom I assume is a manager, brought it back out. My daughter in law thanked him and he replied with “you haven’t even cut into it yet”. Im not sure if it was dry humor or not. He said nothing else..not even an apology. He also was not wearing a name tag, just a polo with the logo. We then did not get even a single offer to refill our drinks the rest of our visit. We were not even slightly rude at all. It was the worst experience I have had at an AppleBees, and it was for my birthday.

This location is inside the empire mall. It is pretty nice inside. The staff seemed fairly friendly. The dark berry bash Mountain Dew was pretty good. The neighborhood beef nachos were decent they weren’t the best but they were ok. The chicken quesadilla was pretty tasty. The spinach and artichoke dip seemed to lack flavor it wasn’t terrible but it could have been better. The triple chocolate meltdown cake was very tasty. I would come back here again

I finally got to go to Applebee’s for the first time while I was in Sioux Falls this weekend visiting my mom while she’s in the hospital. My sister and I were so excited to go and have a yummy steak together before we took the drive back home to Iowa. She ordered the 8oz sirloin, and I ordered the 12oz. Ribeye, as that’s my favorite cut of steak. I buy my own ribeyes quite often, so am aware of how they should look. I’m not sure why, but what I was brought was a ’12oz. Ribeye’, and was told by the waitress and the manager that ‘this is what a 12 oz. Ribeye looks like.’ The steak i received was maybe a quarter inch at its thickest. They tried to remedy the situation by giving me a sirloin if ‘i was concerned with the thickness of the steak.’ Which i wasn’t. I was concerned with why my steak did not match what showed on the menu, did not match my knowledge of what a 12oz ribeye SHOULD look like, and the knowledge of my sister who cooks steaks on a daily basis, as she’s the head cook at a restaurant in our area. I’ve attached pictures of what their menu showed, and what I received. Mind you, i paid $25 for nothing more than an 8oz sandwich ribeye and was told it was a regular 12oz. Ribeye.

Had a great happy hour here. Food was consistent with the Applebees brand. Our bartender Tiffany was great, we never went without a cold beverage or her checking in to see if we needed anything else.
Drinks were fantastic! They have a dollar margarita special right now. Would definitely come back. Glad it was in the mall and easy access.

Entree was forgotten, all food was cold, bartender was rude, just a mess. Would not recommend to take family here, probably would try Texas Roadhouse or any other restaurant.

I made a comment in passing about a food allergy, and ordered something that I thought was safe. The server on their own double-checked and came back and alerted me it wouldn’t be. This gave me time to change my order and have a great meal .
