I love the space in this place! I feel comfortable not too crowded and the tables and booths have decent distance between. Staff always on top of their game! It is crazy to see how many people are in here on the weekends and my food still comes out hot. The prices aren’t too bad and the portions are good size if you want a filling meal. Looks like they upgraded the outside of the building as well and that caught my eye the other night.

This is the Applebee’s to go, you got the best service ! Like today we got Patrick, he is excellent, and Amy the manager! OMG she is awesome, provides great service. Top sirloin, broccoli, garlic mashed potatoes, hot tea. Had to reorder hot tea because water was too cool for steeping tea. Reorder was just right. Steak was dry and a little difficult to cut, but marinade seasoning was delicious! Potatoes were just as I remembered! Broccoli was well seasoned and tender without being overcooked! Attendant Anthony has strong interpersonal skills and strong hospitality skills – very gracious and authentic in serving with pleasure. He is a strong asset at this location! Recent facelift of the facility is top notch – “clean”, efficient, lighting feels welcoming.

Just wanna say thank to Anthony for helping me today. He was very patient with me and also made sure to check on me. I am 5 months pregnant and I would say this by far my best experience at this location thanks you Anthony ..

Very disappointing experience. I ordered a grilled chicken breast and my husband had a steak — both were extremely salty. The food was so salty that I had to drink several bottles of water afterward.
The broccoli was overcooked, and the chicken portion was very small for the price. We spent about $75 including an appetizer, which was actually the best part of the meal.
I hadn’t been here in a long time, and unfortunately, this visit was a letdown. Even “healthier” options were loaded with sodium. Would not return.

Brittany and Jaimie were awesome. We chose to come here over all the other local food places because of these two beauties! Thanks again! See you soon!

This location hands down the BEST Applebee’s I’ve been to. The food was hot and fresh, the new holiday cocktails are delicious and the service was impeccable! Sara was absolutely awesome. She was totally on point with asking me if a needed refills before my drink was finished, to be friendly and engaging. Super job, Sara P!! You deserve a raise!
Now, the dirty soda arrived looking sad as my whipped cream was loose, but it still was tasty.
The restaurant was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the parking area was well lit – just a little hard to get in and out.
I enjoyed the trio platter – the pickle fries are really good!!
I definitely recommend this location and I’ll definitely be back as well.

Great experience at Applebee’s today. We went just before noon and it wasn’t too busy, which we enjoyed. Our waiter was great… he was pleasant, helpful, and just gave overall great service.
We did the 2 for $30 on the menu… opting for the BBQ boneless chicken. Then I got the 8oz steak, with fries (and a side of mexi-ranch to dip them in, which I highly suggest you try), and my father got the bourbon burger. It all tasted great.
They’ve added a new dessert since the last time I went, which is the Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, so we tried those. We were not disappointed, and they were soooooo delicious!! I would get them again in a heartbeat.
If you are in the Columbia Heights/Fridley area, definitely stop by this Applebee’s. It’s located right off 694 and Central Ave, heading south… right next to Menards.

Applebee’s has always been a reliable spot for a satisfying meal—great flavor, decent portions, and a menu with something for everyone. The food keeps me coming back, but the experience around takeout could use some improvement.
Ordering online and picking up inside should be straightforward, but being prompted to leave a tip during this process doesn’t make sense. I placed the order myself, came inside to get it, and there was no added service involved—so why the expectation to tip?
The only time tipping isn’t pushed is when paying with cash, so I guess that’s what I’ll start doing. Still, it creates an off-putting feeling when picking up food and being asked for a tip, especially when there’s no clear explanation of where it’s going or why it’s needed.
I understand and appreciate the hard work of restaurant staff, but tipping should reflect service—not just order fulfillment. Businesses need to find a better balance that doesn’t make customers feel uncomfortable or obligated when no service beyond the basics is provided.
Great food, but I hope Applebee’s rethinks how tipping is handled for pickup orders.
