Had an excellent waitress for lunch. I used to manage restaurants and Bridgette delivered awesome service. She came to the table several times, giving refills before asked and suggested dessert in a way I visualized it and ordered it. The food was great although would have liked a larger steak. It was tender and tasteful for a sirloin. Spent $53 and gave a $20 combined tip. Keep it up Bridgette!!!

I had such a wonderful experience while at dinner. This gentleman named Angel greeted us and held small but very friendly conversations with us adults and with our children. He assured us the server would be with us shortly. He wasn’t wrong. The service was amazing!! The food was great! It was a very pleasant experience and we will be returning!

My family and I have been going to this location for years, we live 30 minutes away, where we live there is not a lot of food options. One thing I can say is every time we enter this restaurant there are many servers however we always request Brigette, because she understands us. I am a server myself not here but a restaurant close to home, and I make sure every guest feels welcomed and comfortable, I make sure that they are ok and that everything is how they ordered it. So I know the importance of having a good experience when dining out, and let me tell you that Applebees in Burlington Iowa definitely welcomes us and all every time we go!

Our server Bridgette was very attentive & knowledgeable! She kept our drinks full and checked on us several times. Bridgette was prompt and very friendly-I would highly recommend her, the manager, and most of all the food! It was delicious!!

Excellent food, great service! Busy, yet we were seated quickly, ordered & received food in a timely manner. We had ordered a steak & grilled oriental salad. Steak & chicken was cooked to perfection.
Spoke with Angel, the manager, before leaving & told him of our impression. We were told it had recently come under new management. It shows. Overall wonderful experience– the best in awhile. Keep up the great work! We will be back

I was not happy with my food at all.I complained to the manager and shouldn’t do nothing.I had burnt chicken, and I have a picture of it, and my husband steak was raw.When he asked we’re all done… she says it was not burnt, but it was.I could not even eat my food.I had to leave it there

Our Family visited this location tonight in Burlington Iowa, my wife my young daughter, her two friends and I were seated during a very busy time. Our waitress Haley was very quick to greet us and get our drinks in while juggling a rather large party in her section at the same time.
Our food was a longer wait than previous visits but the overall attention to our needs the staff expressed more than made up for the wait. Angel and his staff made our experience a pleasant one and the food was delicious as always.
Our tradition has been to visit this Applebee’s on Friday nights for dinner before we take the kids to Kennys Roller Ranch for some Friday night skating, and we will continue that tradition!
Thank you Angel, Haley and the rest of the staff for making my family’s night!

Hadn’t been to an Applebee’s for probably 10-15 years before this.
Went here with my wife a couple weeks ago. Manager came to check on us and said she’d go see where our food was. We watched her not even go to the kitchen to check. Instead she was shooting the breeze with other employees Food was cold after we waited 1.5 hours for it to arrive at the table. When I told the manager she wanted to argue with me about it. Told her I’m not eating cold food and I don’t want it remade. I just wanted the check and to leave.
Paid for our sodas and left never to return. Filled out complaint online. They called a few times but it’s no use. I’ll never be back and nothing they can do to entice me to.

For the second time in a row, kitchen did not prepare food correctly so it had to be remade, which is not the end of the world. However by the time it was brought out an hour and twenty minutes after we arrived, everyone else was done eating. Our server was very attentive and checked with us several times throughout the wait. The 1 Star rating I gave was in no way directed towards our table server, it was due to management of the establishment. The real issue I am writing about is the manager named Joey.
She spoke with utter disrespect to both us and the servers both times we attempted to communicate feedback to her. She intentionally cut us off numerous times from trying to speak, said she was not speaking to me, told me to leave the mess our toddler had made on the floor bc “we have servers for that”, and said they would just throw the food away since we did not want to pay to take it to go to eat at a basketball game we were late to by that time. How this manager has maintained employment, let alone a leadership position, with her lack of customer service skills is beyond my comprehension. I feel deeply for the employees who have to work under her bc of the condescending and rude tone and words I have seen her use both times I have visited the restaurant.

A very poor representation of the AppleBees chain, which I have always had good food and service from for numerous years.

Food was the best I’ve had at this location in a very long time! They have a new manager who has made it to more inviting and positive environment. Thank you Angel Rivera for the wonderful changes!
